6 Stage RODI, saving me $$ even on a well!
I bought this 6 Stage RODI in hopes that I could save the 3 hr weekly round trip to the "Local Fish Store". I have a large saltwater aquarium and a weekly water change is not only important, it's a necessity!! Besides of saving me the time and cost of the weekly trip my testing of the RODI water from my LFS and from this RODI unit proved that this was a wise investment. TDS of the LFS water was running between 15 and 35 ppm. I've now made over 100 gallons of RODI water and the TDS of the water from this RODI system is always ZERO!! For my saltwater reefer friends...this was recommended to me by another reefer online. I'M SOOO GLAD I TOOK HIS ADVICE!! I'll be honest, I'm fairly handy, but plumbing isn't my strong suit. However, installation was a breeze due to the excellent instructions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RODI SYSTEM! NOTE: another reviewer said, "Update: buying from koolermax/filter direct has a high shipping charge and it is hard to find anywhere else. Thought I could get a standard size but nope... this is the printer pricing scheme all over with the system being a loss leader I think. Im considering getting a different RODI for standard sizes." This is NOT TRUE. The AR-122 uses standard filter sizes. I purchase all filters and DI resin via Amazon sellers. Everything is standard and no special sizes are needed.

Great System!!!
Everything came perfectly, I have been running the RO/DI for a month with no issues and it has been giving my reef tank pristine water quality. Arrived on time and no issues except one little plastic connector was broken but I think I probably broke it taking it out of the package. However, there were extra pieces in the box to replace it and if you need to get any replacement fittings, they have everything on their website. I bought a 2 way switch valve for our laundry cold water output and hooked the RO/DI system up to that. Works great and I highly recommend getting this especially at this price point!

Budget RODI
Install this pretty quick or the resin turns brown from air. Heard someone say a drain flow restrictor bypass can be used to flush the membrane and extend life... idk the instructions are a few similar diagrams but don't really give operating instructions besides pressure.-Luckily just a couple lines. Be really careful with the lines. When I go to open or close valves (to save filters) they want to pop off because the connections are held by a plastic sleeve and coupling. Home depot has push to connect fittings which are better but expensive. This system does take my water 250-400ppm to 0ppm. I spliced in a TDS meter before and after the system that is not part of the system. I might move the first meter probe after the carbon stages to know when they need changing. Update: buying from koolermax/filter direct has a high shipping charge and it is hard to find anywhere else. Thought I could get a standard size but nope... this is the printer pricing scheme all over with the system being a loss leader I think. Im considering getting a different RODI for standard sizes.

Great inexpensive RO/DI unit!
Received about a month ago. Spent a little time making sure all the fittings were tight and had to stop and re-tighten in a few places before I could say it was "leak free". Once I got it to this point, it has not leaked. I bought a top-off float, and I have been able to verify that if the float is up the unit stops making water. I don't have it hooked up to a permanent water supply; I turn the water off when I am not using it or if I am not home so I am not 100% sure the float will do its job to stop the water -- I can only expect that it will -- but the ASOV does work if I manually lift the float. I did spring a leak where one hose blew, but I'm sure I didn't have it seated correctly. You MUST be sure to push the tubing in twice and make sure it is seated correctly. Giving a little tug should let you know you've got it right. Once I put the tubing back in, I have not seen another leak in almost a month. Water coming out is at zero TDS. Can't beat that. My only complaint with this unit is, if you download the PDFs from the manufacturer, both the "general" hookup pamphlet and the AR-122 pamphlet are set up to be one page, so it is very difficult to print, and it is even difficult to read on a laptop. Otherwise, it's a great unit and an excellent value for the money. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking at 6-stage RO/DI units and not willing to pay $300+ (like me).

After extensive research and price consideration I am very happy with my selection
After extensive research and price consideration I am very happy with my selection, fast shipping and it comes with everything you may need depending of installation you may need extra tubbing but very inexpensive at homedepot, the fittings are of high quality the system is very sturdy and looks great there is not a single drop of water leaking my TDS are at zero (0). I am very happy with the product and the price. The main use is for Saltwater aquarium and it works great with standard cartridges.

Easy setup, seems to be working as described
I installed this in my laundry room and added a TDS meter that reads the intake and output lines; my tap water is generally about 140 ppm, and this unit produces 0 ppm water. I will probably hook it up to a storage tank because it doesn’t output much water, it takes about an hour to fill a five-gallon bucket.

Buy it now! Seriously, best value for the money!
If you are looking for an awesome unit, that you don’t have to break the bank for, this unit is FN amazing! Right now I’m running it off my garden hose cuz my sink faucets aren’t compatible (Moen sucks) until a friend comes to install it in my laundry room. ZERO TDS and going strong! I have a small freshwater tank and 2 saltwater tanks so this was a needed buy cuz I was tired of lugging Lowe’s buckets back and forth to the fish store! Now I have more money and time for other things since that saltwater can get pricey! The directions weren’t the best, so if you are a first timer to RO/DI units just check out some YouTube videos on setup and flushing the RO before you hook up the DI. It took me about 1.5 hours to flush, and fill 6 buckets. If a newbie, get a Brute trash can with the kid to start your own water and mixing station! Cheaper cans can have a bad effect on the water quality.
