Although the product is quite expensive (my only reason for a 4 star rating), it is very good and fresh.

SO flavorful
The first time I opened it (first time getting this brand), I thought "yew, what's up with this smell?". I was pretty disappointed at first because it seemed to taste kind of smoky and really strong to my taste.It is indeed much stronger than any chestnut flour I've got in the past... but I learned how to adapt the quantity of chestnut flour vs. other flours and now I do think it is actually MUCH better!!! It is so flavorful that I can taste chestnut with only 10gr of this flour for 300gr of gluten-free flour (mix of white and brown rice flour, tapioca and potato starch).So what seemed to be a pricey flour with ok taste turned out to be a flour with a rich flavor at a very good price (considering than ~2-3% of this flour is enough). Will definitely buy the same brand next time!

Exceptional, spectacular
Incredible flavour. Fresh, sweet and with a gentle smokiness from the chestnuts being dried in a wood-fired oven. No need to add sugar to anything traditional made with this. Also, it's light, so you get a lot per pound.

Excellent quality - and this year's (2019) batch is even better than usual
I've been buying this chestnut flour for a few years now; quality is excellent, and I love using it for my seasonal castagnaccio's. But this year's batch (nov 2019) is even better than usual (in the end, it all depends on how good the year was for the chestnuts!). Highly recommended.

Sweet and nutty
The sweet, nutty flavor of the chestnut flour was the perfect basis for fresh tagliatelle with sausage, mushrooms, chard, and chopped roasted chestnuts.
