We prefer the ease of using the open towel ring design. We like to be able to use just one hand to easily hang up the hand towel. That limits opens for towel ring selection. I just bought two of these for my recently redone master bath. I've had one in a different finish for a year or so and it always worked just fine. Good towel holder that has a nice quality feel to it and the design is neutral enough to go with other non-matching fixtures. Liked it enough to buy the two new ones when we redid the master bath. I ordered some others in the same price range and didn't like how cheap they felt. Ended up sticking with what already worked for us. Good price for what you get.

We have dark wood cabinets with door handles this dark bronze color. This matched PERFECTLY. I love the unique open ring design. It makes it look so much nicer but also it makes it easier to loop the towel onto the ring. Once mounted the ring drops straight down so it does not lay against the wall (which is nice so it doesn't bang up the wall). It swings easily up and down without resistance. It is a lovely texture.

It's hard to find decently made anything anymore, and I didn't have the time to read 8000 reviews, so I just went with the Kohler branded option. The nice things about this: 1) Actual metal used (not plastic) 2) Thoughtful use of wide bases to hide any damage done by the screws that hold this to the wall (in my case, I used better wall mounting hardware behind it, and the result is that the plaster and paint "curdled" a bit, but this was easily hidden behind the extra wide decorative bases) 3) Relatively intelligent modular design (not that this matters to the buyer) - but since I have several items from this collection, I can see how the manufacturing works and how they combine various basic pieces to make these things, and there is some nice design in there 4) Intelligent base cover tighteners - designed to go on in only one way, and tightening in such a way that they easily go flush to the wall. Again, none of this is rocket science, and these are over-priced (you're paying for the Kohler brand and the knowledge that you won't throw it away in disgust when you receive it). We installed the devonshire set of bath accessories in our new guest bath, and have received multiple compliments on them already. They are solidly made and beautiful. Previous towel rings I've had were a full circle, which required you to awkwardly stuff the towel through the ring. This three-quarters design is clever, you slide the towel into the ring, and it stays put even through a busy family party of guests washing and drying their hands. These accessories are not much more expensive than the stock stuff at home depot, but much higher quality. Highly recommended!

The polished chrome is beautiful and the simple but elegant styling works well in my Victorian-style bathroom. I hope the finish holds up over time, but since I've only had it three weeks, I can't vouch for the durability of the finish and hence the 4 stars. Everyone loves the fact that the ring is open-ended because it is much easier to add and remove towels as compared to a closed ring design. Installation was easy too.

This towel ring is great. Installation took me under 10 minutes, but as a new homeowner I've installed a lot of things lately. Pretty straightforward to install, just use the provided allen wrench to loosen the piece that gets screwed into the wall. The reason I detail that step is that the instructions did explicitly note that (though very intuitive). As for the towel ring it sits nicely on our wall and I love that it's sturdy enough to hold a large towel if I want. I also really like the side access to put the towel in/out, as opposed to the complete ring that you need to thread the towel. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.

I ordered these as I wanted to match the hardware in my bathroom when I remodeled it. I love the updated design and the screw that holds the towel holder in place came loose and I tightened it...may have to do again in the future, but easy to do. Overall, very satisfied and would order again! Good quality.

Very high quality design. I paid just a few bucks more for this towel bar because of the way it mounts to the wall. Most towel bars have a thin, flimsy bracket that screws to the wall. And then they have a set screw that goes BETWEEN the bracket and the wall, acting like a wedge. So when you 'tighten' the towel bar, you're actually prying the bracket out of the wall or even bending the bracket, which LOOSENS the whole thing! But this Kohler has a very solid, sturdy mounting bracket that screws to the wall. It is shaped like a T so that it holds the weight of the towel bar. It also has a set screw but that simply goes into a notch in the bracket to keep the towel bar from sliding off the bracket. Much better design! Kudos to Kohler.
