Excellent leather and an overall high quality product. More than adequate space for my gym cloths, shoes, towel and accessories. Be aware that there’s minimal space in the 3 zippered pockets (2 outside and 1 inside). I have a rather bulky pair of athletic socks stuffed in one pocket to give you an idea of how big they are. There’s also several very small interior pockets without zippers. They’re little more than credit-card sized. Zippers seem of good quality. They and other metal parts are bronze toned and compliment overall appearance.Looks and smells like real leather - not too heavy. I’d think this would satisfy most people’s needs as a daily gym bag - which is what I view as its primary use. The detatchable shoulder strap looks beautiful and substantial. Unfortunately, I’ll have no use for it. The bag came with an attachable leather name-tag holder. Fits my gym’s magnetic key-card perfectly. So I can just hold one end of the bag up to the door to gain entry.The one detractor is minor. I ordered the “hickory brown” color based on the samples Amazon shows. Of the 3 choices, it looked the most vibrant (and expensive) to me. The manufacturer had indicated that this particular version of the bag (hickory brown) had a “list price” nearly double what it was selling for on Amazon. However, the bag I received more closely resembles the “chocolate brown” color sample. There was no color label with the bag - so it’s anybody’s guess as to why the color appears a bit off. However, this is still a very attractive bag. It’s a “keeper” as far as I’m concerned. At the price paid (about $110) I consider it a very good buy.

This bag looks to be perfectly sized for airplane carry-on and I love the simple, minimalist design. The bag opens wide for easy packing. The carry handles are the perfect length - not so short that your knuckles graze the bag, but not so long that the bag hangs too low. I like the look of the shoulder strap (leather backed with a nylon strap) and I expect the shoulder pad will be comfortable.There are two identical, nicely sized zippered pockets on each side of the bag, and one slightly larger inside. There is also an interior 4-slot cardholder (nicely constructed but of no real use to me), two slightly-too-large pen slots, and an odd "mobile" pocket approximately the same size and shape as a can of Red Bull. I expect that I'll rip the pen slots and mobile pocket out with a seam ripper before too long.The color (hickory brown) is nice and is a close match to other pieces I own. The stain is applied unevenly to achieve a "vintage," worn-in look. There is one panel that is annoyingly much darker than the rest of the bag and also a couple small spots where the dye dripped or pooled and was allowed to dry. I don't love the preworn look and suspect that the manufacturer is trying to camouflage lower quality leather, but I'm hopeful that it will age gracefully and grateful that I won't have to worry about keeping the finish pristine.The leather itself is thinner and stiffer than I'd prefer but about what I'd expect at this price point. It feels a bit plastic-y and I'm not convinced it's really been oiled/waxed as described. Definitely will need to look into waterproofing, as water soaks right in instead of beading up and running off.The rough side of the leather, where visible, is unfinished - the luggage tag in particular cheapens the look of the bag, and I'll be supplying my own.The metal hardware and zippers look solid and the stitching is mostly straight with no loose threads. I do wish the zippers were the locking type, but I should still be able to thread a lock through anyway.There is a faint leather smell but also a bit of a synthetic odor that I can't quite identify - contact cement, perhaps? Hopefully, the smell will dissipate between now and my first trip.Overall I'm pleased with the bag and don't know that I could do much better at this price point. A casual observer will see a leather bag and be impressed even though fans of high-end leather pieces will know better. Four stars, because despite its flaws, I think this bag is an excellent value.

For $100; it’s a deal. Leather is fantastic and genuine. I haven’t used it yet but it feels durable and I cannot wait to break it in. Zippers and fixtures feel sturdy. It increases my style points from my Samsonite roller and duck fabric duffel.Cons- I don’t like the way it was folded. You can see how it was folded and that “broke-into” the bag. It should have been shipped with filler/air bags on the inside and upright.- Inside lining is not attached to inside. It sort of “hangs” like a tent with no supports.I’m keeping it. It’s too nice of a deal and too nice of a bag. I hope it lasts with all the traveling I plan on doing now that things are opening up.

I bought this for my hubby to replace his work backpack that broke after twenty years of use. He had been using plastic grocery gloats to carry his work items back and forth from home. I was going to give it to Him for Christmas but he opened it when it arrived while I was at work. Needless to say he loves it. It is the perfect size for his work items and when we travel he wants to use it as his carry on. All in all a great purchase and he says the quality is very good.

Giving 2 stars because I did not get the color I ordered. Just like a previous reviewer, I ordered the hickory brown and received the chocolate brown. Very easy to see the difference in color. The color difference is not minor. Also, the picture of the hickory brown shows white stitching around the name badging - the bag I received does not. I am going to take some time to decide whether to keep this or return it. If you are not going to send the hickory brown out, then remove it from the site. Feel kinda like the old bait and switch happened here. I sent comments to the seller and will wait for a response.

Very nice product. I agree w/ other reviews though in that the color is definitely off. The leather on the strap was beautiful, perfect even, and is the color I expected the bag itself to be, but that was not the case. At any rate, bought it for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He’s so excited to use it. He wants to go on a trip now just because. Since he is happy, I’m very happy. Also, the leather is pretty thick, the stitching is good too, and I like that the zippers are not plastic. He should have it for a while as long as he takes care of it.
