Buy This Harness Now. It Turned My Honking Choking Pulling Dog Into a Walking Angel, Instantly
Let's just say I am motivated to write my first ever Amazon review by this amazing harness. My dog, Muppet, is a golden doodle who loves walks. Except, not really walks, she loves attaching a leash to your wrist and then taking off in a random direction of her choice like she's racing in the Iditarod as you get flung around the sidewalk like a two pound sled. When my wife tries to walk this dog, she ends up with bruises all over her arms that make her look like she was in a boxing match. It became such a chore just trying to keep my dog from killing herself and everyone else during an afternoon "stroll".We tried lots of things, too. Obedience school was a good place for her to show off her people pulling skills to the other dogs and disrupt the entire class. We tried all the tips, followed their instructions, trained her at home, and basically flunked the class. Pinch and training collars were good for her to suffocate herself to the point she would honk like a donkey, louder than any bark she's ever had - but she must have enjoyed that noise because that made her pull harder. Typically, when she would encounter a stranger, she would pull and pull and honk so loud trying to get over to them to pet her that they would be terrified at this furry honking creature and quickly walk the other way. Embarassing. I had informally changed her name to Donkey. As for harnesses, my dog thinks that they are mainly designed to optimize her pulling and make it easier to pull the human along, and this did nothing to stop or decrease her "honking", which I desperately was trying to stop.My wife and I were at our wit's end when she started reading about "tracheal collapse" and had a mental breakdown the other night. Personally I had come to terms with having a sweet dog who otherwise turned into a raging bull anytime she went on a walk. I figure we are going to have to pay for a dog trainer and who knows what else to try and fix this problem. I buy this collar at 10 PM and figure it's worth a try. A dog trainer friend of ours gives us some tips and says, "Yeah, it'll probably work, but it'll take months, you'll have to stop every 2 feet, make her come back to you, etc..."We took it out for a test drive tonight. I left the tag on it in case it made no difference or was even worse. I was fully expecting not to make it to the street corner, and I could not believe that we walked a full mile with basically ZERO pulling. This was the best walk, I kid you not, we have had in the last year and a half with my dog. No honking. No choking herself chasing after other dogs! No tearing my rotator cuff! NO MORE DONKEY!!! I honestly would not believe that it worked like this if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Your mileage may vary depending on your particular dog, but this has been revolutionary for us.This is a well-constructed, high quality harness, it WORKS, and knowing what I know now, I gladly would have paid a hundred bucks for it. If you're even thinking about buying this, stop reading reviews and buy it.

Great, but fit it right!
I bought this for my 55lb-chunky monkey Labrador/Pitbull mix. She's not a crazy puller, but it was enough to be frustrating on walks. This harness worked instantly in curbing her pulling habit. It's great to get her to walk close and stop without pulling hard. All you have to do is pull up on the leash, and the dog will stop. If the dog pulls then they end up facing you which is counter-productive to their pulling. My husband did accidentally pinch her in the stomach with the clip, so you might want to be careful, which is probably true with any dog product.Maya is a flat coated dog, and I haven't had any problems with rubbing. Make sure that the harness is fitted properly, as a large majority of people don't fit it right. There are pictures included in the manual. The girth shouldn't be in the armpits of the dog and it should be snug. This is the part that holds it in place. The chest strap should be looser and not tight so it doesn't pull forward. You can attach the leash to the top of the harness ring and the collar ring at the same time. This will give you more peace of mind that your dog is secure while preventing the chest strap from pulling forward.I also keep my harness and leash out of reach of Maya, who's a power chewer, so chewing the harness hasn't been a problem for her. This harness is better than the Gentle Leader product because it doesn't tighten across the chest which can cause discomfort to your dog.

Useful and kind harness for young dog training
Our professional dog trainer specifically recommended the SENSE-ation No-Pull Dog Harness. I used her own during a Canine Good Citizenship Training Class and immediately ordered my own. That was three months ago, and I have not been disappointed.Constructed of nylon webbing with plastic clips and fittings, this product may be used with a dog collar. The straps will not overlap or interfere with the collar. This dog harness is adjustable in several ways, so it still fits my growing pup. She will soon outgrow it, though. The metal ring sits in the front - on the dog's chest - so the leash clip can attach to the harness and the collar's ring for optimum (but kind) control. My pup respects this harness on long trail walks, even when we encounter such tempting distractions as birds, squirrels, and other dogs.I recommend the SENSE-ation No-Pull Dog Harness. At about $30, it costs more than lots of similar products, but I found it much more useful and effective than other dog harnesses we have tried.

New upgraded quality! Perfect for strong, muscular breeds and beginner lead training!
My first picture shows my dog, Peppa Piggy, wearing the old model harness (Blue harness)made by the same company. It had thin nylon straps and the fasteners were not sturdy enough to stay closed, when she pulled hard while trying to break free during our walks to chase squirrels, bunnies and other dogs etc., Causing big problems for everyone! The New and improved version is shown in my second picture of Peppa Piggy. (Purple harness) I honestly couldn't ask for a better harness for her! Very impressed with the sturdy, thick straps and the bigger plastic fastener is extremely tough and unlike the past model, it will NOT pop open under her strong pull! Especially when I need to count on it keeping her on her leash! She really enjoys trying to chase squirrels & bunnies on our walks or when another dog is around, this harness makes holding her back a piece of cake!! I don't even budge an inch under her strong pull! She definitely has a small frame, being a French bulldog and pitbull terrier mix, but don't let that fool you, she's as strong as they come! So, I give this product 5 stars, for the excellent upgrades to the quality and functionality of this harness, I believe that it's worth every single penny that I've paid for it! You will not regret it if you purchase it as well! Thank you!
