It's Perfect
It has one job- to make a pot of coffee. It has only two settings- on and off. It's perfect.Buckle up buddy because this is a love letter to the most utilitarian device ever created by mankind. I'm talking about optimal efficiency, intuitive design and user workflow, and zero interface/features bloat. This particular Mr. Coffee machine is perfect, full stop. It has one job and it does it flawlessly every. single. time. You choose your coffee. You put in the grinds. You fill it with water. You get the exact coffee you want. The machine features one solitary button- a toggle to turn it on and off. When turned on, it makes coffee. Add more water, get more coffee. When turned off, it stops making coffee. That being said, this machine is for giga brained people who can handle the responsibility of manually turning an appliance on and off. There is no A.I. or software to argue with. There are no options to search through. There isn't a keypad to input settings or built-in wifi to connect to an app. There isn't a bluetooth speaker in the base. There is no Alexa, Siri, Roku, Rufus, or Dingus jabroni shoe-horned into the thing. It is a dumb device which makes it *one of the safest, smartest device available* in 2025.This is a cheaply made, plastic appliance, that will last longer than your next graphics card. By being designed and built with an "Occam's Razor" philosophy, this machine routinely outlasts more expensive and sophisticated models simply by having less things that can break. The actual value you get from this $40 purchase is unmatched. You will spend thousands of dollars on coffee beans before you need to spend another $40 on a new Mr. Coffee machine. And you will purchase this exact model again. After using this model for a week you will become irate at the mere sight of other coffee machines. You will look in disgust at the obscene amount of knobs and buttons and you'll point and laugh as you righteously sneer "That coffee machine has an LCD screen!" because you are right- it is absurd. You have finally found Truth in the new millennium. Sip your coffee. Gulp it. Make more. Just don't forget to turn it off... or completely empty the pot before filling with water again XD

Good basic coffee maker, still going strong.
It's a basic coffee maker, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles some of the higher priced coffee makers have, but that also means there's very few things to break, like those higher priced coffee makers. Our high priced coffee maker gave up the ghost after a year. Even if this does break, it's cheaper to replace. You'll have to turn it on yourself, but hey...life is tough. It's been working juuuuust fine. Makes great coffee, that's the most important part...and keeps it warm, unlike our old Ninja.

Why did Mr. Coffee remove left hand markings?
I have used this brand and model of Mr. Coffee for decades. It's simple and works. After years of faithful service, the switch on my old one failed, so I recently replaced it. It happens; no big issue.BUT: For the first time ever, the carafe no longer has cup measurement markings to the right of the handle. I only have the use of my left hand. When filling the pot, I can not see the measurements to the left of the handle; they are hidden by my left hand. Why, Mr. Coffee, are you making it difficult to use for those of us who aren't right-handed?

Simple coffee machine, good coffee
I've had a couple more expensive coffee machines with the extras including timed brewing, alarms etc. However there's always issues with operation, durability and leakage. So I decided to get back to the basics with a Mr. COFFEE pot.ProsInexpensive, no fuss, easy to use. Nice size and fits under my cabinet. Less technical features so less chance of a defect occurring. Most importantly makes good hot coffee quickly. So no need to wait long and it has pause feature if I want my coffee even sooner. No leakage and has the pause feature.ConsNo timed delay or alarms to indicate coffee is brewed. However I consider that more a positive. I don't need those features.

Basic simple and long lasting
So in my humble opinion, coffee pots shouldn't be as expensive as some of them are. Pour water over the coffee grounds and into a pot with a heating element under it. With that being said I have seen some coffee pots run in the Easley over $100 range. Now okay I understand if you want to have a clock involved so it can start your coffee for you, that's fine and I'm sure that'll cost a couple extra dollars, and if you want something really nice and prestigious looking because you care what your guests think about what you've spent on random items then yeah drop a hundred bucks on a nice one maybe it's stainless steel or something and has a good company logo on the front of it.Personally, I'm not that difficult. I get up in the morning I push the button on this thing and by the time I get out of the shower I've got a nice hot pot of coffee waiting for me and life is good. The only thing I wish this had and this is only because my previous pot did have this option is that if you don't turn this off it'll just stay on all day and you really don't want to cook that empty pot all day. There is a light on the button so if you're leaving the house and the light is still on yeah you might want to shut this off. And honestly after a couple weeks I got into the habit of making sure I shut it off as I picked up the pot to pour my coffee so it hasn't really been an issue, it was only a problem for a week or two because like I said my previous pot automatically shut off so I got lazy and just let it do its thing. So anyway, if you're just looking for something to make your coffee, and you don't really want to spend $50 or $100, I've had this for quite a while now and it works great. I do have well water which has a lot of extra minerals and crap in it so I do find myself doing a 50% vinegar solution which you pretty much need to do with any coffee pot from time to time but in my case a little more often... And other than that, I expect this thing's going to last me a few more years.
