This is one of the few cases where thinner is better. This is not a bathroom towel, this is a beach towel. The colors are bright and durable in the wash. This is an excellent beach towel. I mean a beach towel to spread out and sit on.

Very cute TOWEL.. I was Christmas shopping for my 2 daughters 11/12y.o. Ended up with 1 blanket and 1 towel because I didn't comprehend the item description. However I ended up liking this towel much better than the blanket!This is plenty large for 1 person to lay beachside!She has used it as a lap blanket because its got a nice weight/thickness to it and also as a decrative rug in her bedroom. So I would say is pretty darn durable.She however, hasn't actually used it as a towel so i can't speak as to absorption or towel like things.I think this is the towel you take to a beach, river, or water park to lay out on and use for those types of special occasions, and be set apart from everyone else when you do because of the shape and picture.Its especially cute for a towel and I think whether it's the towel by itself or as part of a gift basket, this would be a fantastic and original giftI'm pleased I purchased this towel by accident and now will be purchasing a 2nd because as with anything pitbull, you can basically count on this towel grabbing everyones attention at the river/beach.As soon as the weather warms and I can get a picture with my daughter and her "pit" sprawled out in the sun, I'll make sure to edit the post and attach. And I'll modify my previous comment to say this towel would be comfortable for 1 person and 1 dog to lay out on!

The towels are indeed thick and very soft. I bought another towel from a different retailer that was not as thick as this one (despite the other one was quite decent and wasn't from the thinnest and cheapest ones) . My kids love to wrap around it after going out of the cold water - it is really a very soft and pleasant material, absorbent too. Actually they like to use it as a blanket even at home - very comfy.We have used it on the beach and around the pool. Didn't have issues with sand sticking and was easy to dust off. Have washed it a number of times already on cold and picture is as good as new. Looks exactly like on the picture. Size is great, I am quite tall and it is perfect for me. Would definitely buy again!

Was very impressed with this towel. It is much thicker than I was expecting and is very nice quality. The colors are very vibrant and material is soft. This is great to use as a towel or even just a blanket at the beach or anywhere you may need to sit on the ground.

This turtle design beach towel is so beautiful. Colors are vibrant and washes well. I ended up using it as a bed cover for my cruise cabin bed and as an extra blanket in the hotel. Love, love, love!

LOVE this beach blanket! It's so soft and a great weight. Not too thin, but still packable. Quality is better than expected. Colours are vibrant and the turtles on the beach is super fun!
