Love the colorful pictures

This book is adorable. We have several Derek Anderson books and the kids love them all. This one has made it in to the bed time rotation along with all the others. It’s a great story with wonderful illustrations.

Love the author, Derek Anderson, have many of his books which I have picked up for my Grandkids and for my home library for when they come to visit. He writings & illustrations are sweet and keeps kids attention while reading the books. Fun and whimsical.

Gladys is great! Mom gets a snicker out of the stories Derek writes and illustrates. (We also love his 10 Pigs books!) Make sure to make the recipie in the book - yum! The story is fun and gives sleep deprived parents a good laugh.

This is a sweet story about a gorilla named Gladys who escapes from the zoo in order to track down the source of a delicious smell. The illustrations are fabulous, and include two zookeepers on every page following Gladys. My two and a half year old loves it, and I don't mind reading it again and again.

Superb illustrations and the story is super cute! I personally know the author first hand and he autographed this book for my nephew. I bought this book and 2 of his others.

The story dragged. It had spark to make you even want to finish it. I didn't like the style of the illustrations. I think the gorilla should have been smaller on the page. There wasn't anything interesting about the pages. But that is more of a personal choice.
