The product I received is very fresh. It's a generous amount for a great price! This is the same brand they carry in typical Middle Eastern grocery stores, this is a name brand product, yet costs less than a lot of brands I have never heard of. If you're looking for black seed, this is it! Very high quality. Aromatic. Has a strong taste, if you're unfamiliar with this and looking at it for health benefits, be aware it tastes something like peppercorns mixed with cumin! A little goes a long way for seasoning dishes. Often this is used mixed with local honey for various potential health benefits, specifically it is rumored to help with cholesterol. There are other conditions it can be used for. I noticed my sinuses cleared after taking some with honey...but whether it was due to the honey or the seeds or both I don't know. I would buy this again and recommend it. Thanks

Was grateful to find these here on amazon. I use them in my homemade coleslaw and can’t seem to find them at my local grocery anymore.

I use these to add a bit of flavor to bread. It makes a nice aromatic and tasty addition to bread just before baking.
