LOVE LOVE LOVE my 30 oz plum blossom tea pot! LOVE!
I purchased the 30 oz 900YH. It is my favorite thing that I purchased all year. If you are thinking of buying this, don't hesitate and buy it now!It is an exceptional value for something of very high quality and utility.Honestly I saw this at Teavana in the mall and love love loved it, but couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a tea pot. If you buy this at Teavana, the little cups alone are $20 apiece, plus the cost of the trivet, tea pot, and strainer. In this set, which costs less than $50, you get EVERYTHING.FYI you do not need the external heater, the cast iron tea pot keeps the tea burning hot for HOURS. (Seriously).NOTE: the 30 oz tea pot is not an enameled tea pot - consider it the equivalent of a cast iron pot or pan when using it.NOTE2: the tea cups with the 30 oz set ARE enameled. Some of the other tea pot options from this seller are enameled, so be careful, read the descriptions, and know what you are buying. Basically, an enameled tea pot cannot be placed directly on the stove or over a gas or open fire in order to heat water for tea. A plain cast iron pot can be. Also, with an enameled pot, there is no health benefit. With a cast iron tea pot, every cup of tea adds iron to your diet. This is particularly great for those with compromised immune systems. If someone has anemia, is undergoing chemotherapy, or has an ailment that depresses their lung function, this is a terrific gift, because it will make them healthier. (Basically, red blood cells carry oxygen to the body. Red blood cells are made of hemoglobin, which use iron to bind oxygen to the red blood cell. This cast iron pot will add iron to your diet by infusing the water in the tea pot with iron and other minerals.) I've been using this with an electric kettle to heat water, and I do not find that the cast iron tea pot makes the water taste funny (as some reviewers mentioned). I like this a LOT better than iron pills, which are very hard on your body. (Also, if you are having your period, you are losing iron, and this will help with the menstruation side effects -- try it out, it actually works). The 30 oz tea pot that I purchased (there is just one that this seller is selling in this size) is perfect for a dallying tea drinker and a friend. It makes three mugs of tea (the little tea cups are two ounces each, in case you are wondering). If you wonder why anyone should bother with the tiny tea cups, well, this is so the rest of the tea can steep in the cast iron pot and infuse your tea with iron a little longer. So it makes sense from that perspective. Since the small tea cups are enameled, once the tea is in them, the infusion of iron stops. One cute and awesome thing -- the handle for the tea pot goes all the way down, so when you wash your tea pot, you can turn it upside down to dry, and it will not topple over or be unstable (which is great for something which can break your toe if it falls on it).All in all -- stop reading this review and just buy the tea pot.If you are interested - the design on the 30 oz tea pot is a plum blossom. In Chinese tradition (check out the article in the Epoch Times), the plum blossom represents the vitality of life, endurance through hardship, and hope that life will regenerate. As a “friend of winter,” the plum blossom most vividly represents the value of endurance, as life ultimately overcomes through the vicissitude of time. The fragrance of plum blossoms “comes from the bitterness and coldness,” as the Chinese saying goes. Souls are tempered in the depth of experience, growing in inner strength and unyielding courage. The plum, together with the orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, have been named the “four nobles” of plants by the ancient Chinese, each because of its noble characteristics, such as purity (orchid), uprightness (bamboo), and humility (chrysanthemum).

The cups are extremely small Not much bigger than a walnut
The handle Being connected to the cast iron is extremely hot I had to do a rap and modify it A better design would have been to have that Be of a different material cool enough to pick up the cups are extremely small a walnut Ideal for hot sake not for tea I thought the Box set is adorable and I like the trivet also.

Premium cast-iron enamel tea set for the ages
Love this tea set. All components are cast iron with enamel interiors of pot, lid and cups.I have it seasoned up per the instruction card included. First pot of tea, Daily Asam Summer Black, a true treat.A tea set for a life time, to be passed down from generation to generation.

Beautiful
Not to use on a coil stove. Maybe a ceramic top on low heat (I still would not), or over a fire (not in one), but not for boiling the water. Any cast teapot with enamel liner should not be used to boil water. That is what a kettle is for. You risk breaking down the enamel. I use a stainless steel pot to boil, then put it in my teapot. It sits for 2 minutes to heat the teapot, then you pour it out. Add the remaining water just to where the spout starts inside the pot, add your tea, and let it steep for your desired tea. (Black tea about 5 mins) Best tea I have ever had because nothing is interfering with the flavor. If you don't want the extra steps, I'd suggest you save your money. Cast iron takes TLC.

Beautiful teapot that is small but requires specific care to prevent rust.
Nice product, but smaller than I thought. Makes only about 1 mug (12 oz) of tea. Quite a bit of prepping the tea pot for first use (boil tea in it for 1 hr, repeat 2-3 times until water runs clear). You can use this on the stove top, unlike some other similar tea pots, but it seems more efficient to just pour boiling water into it and let the tea seep. Handle does not get hot even when it is on the stove top boiling water. Very attractive and well made. If you are looking for a single person cast iron with enameled interior, this is very nice and practical. If you are looking for a tea pot for 2 or 3 people, or more tea capacity, then I suggest the 37 oz version of this product. Good instructions on use and care and how to prevent rust.
