Awesome Must Have
This product is a dream come true. I own a bunch of guitars (Les Paul, Strat, schecter, ect). I wanted a guitar that I could throw in the car and take anywhere. Something small with a full size neck and decent sound. Something I could play during lunch in the middle of work to keep my skills up. When I first looked at travel guitars many of the good ones were hundreds of dollars. Then I found this. At first I was skeptical. How good could a 100 dollar travel guitar play or sound....It came in the mail, I opened it and boy was I impressed. This thing is solid! The neck is very similar to my strat neck and very easy to play even with my big hands. The sound is awesome for stock pickups. In comparison better than anything that comes stock on lets say a mexican strat, just to give you a frame of reference. The paint job is great and looks like a cherry red muscle car finish. I love this thing, its even become my arm chair guitar and the action was perfect right out of the box!

Good sound and quite playable
Right out of the box it looked like this product was built pretty solid. I thought the color was great although some of the pictures show the headstock matching the body color. Mine has a black headstock, which I didn't mind because I also have a Gibson Les Paul with the same color scheme (maroon body and black headstock). Nice fretboard with the rosewood. Tuners are similar to what you would find on a Mexican made Fender Telecaster. Good value for the price. On the downside, the action was set quite high so the neck needed an adjustment. Don't be afraid to do this yourself. Get your ruler out and put it on the neck to see if there's any curvature. Loosen the strings, take the plastic cover off the headstock by the nut and use the provided allen wrench. If the curvature is contributing to high action you usually need to tighten the truss rod. Always remember - left loosey, righty tighty. Mine needed about 10 1/8 turns to tighten (you can only move the truss rod about 1/8 of a turn with each movement of the wrench so in total it was probably 1 and 1/2 full turns - not much of an adjustment really). After this the ruler was a lot closer to the frets in the middle of the neck. Lots of web sites will show you how to do this so be careful and follow the instructions you find. After all of this it was much easier to play. Get one of the Vox headphone amps to go with it and your ready to rock while on travel. A very nice instrument for the price. Others are very expensive compared to this model and if you intend to toss it in the trunk or overhead compartment while on the go, this is the one to get.

Great value
Excellent for a convenient practice tool. I take it everywhere, I can even get some playing time in on my breaks at work. A tascam guitar trainer mp3 player and earphones fit neatly in the gigbag's pocket. Once you get used to resting your wrist on the body, it becomes a really playable instrument. I took it to a gig the day it was delivered and ended up playing it the entire third set. The tone quality and output level sounded great through my amp.

Hofner CT Series Shorty guitar
Very impressed by the guitar and the vendor. Hofner's Shorty guitar is beautiful. Very much impressed by the pickup and quality of construction at this price. I see no problem with ordering from this vendor again.

Excellent practice guitar
This is a great deal for a practice guitar. The fret board feels great, action of the guitar is very good. The tone is also very good for such a small guitar. Playing position takes some adjusting to as the guitar wants to fall over on the neck due to no weight on the body, as mentioned in other reviews. However a strap helps a bit with this and also the weight of your playing hand helps balance the guitar. Overall, I can't be more happier with this purchase and only wish I bought one earlier.

Just Buy It
this thing is so freaking sweet. I received excellent care from the buyer. Really, the only thing I have as a complaint is it is very neck heavy, so I would recommend maybe a different style of guitar strap. But regardless, this thing has amazing tone for the size and it is built exceptionally well. For the price, it is an amazing choice for a traveler guitar.

Very unbalanced and has weird setup.
Hmm. everyone here is very positive. I don't mean to be really negative but its not a great Guitar...Positive things first - It is relatively cheap and comes with a Gig bag which works well enough. It is very small and fits easily in overhead lockers of aeroplanes or easily in the boot of a car even when full of family stuff. However I didn't get on well with mine when playing - if you play sat down it continuously falls forward -its not very well balanced and the strings are so close to the edge of the neck you can easily touch the higher E by accident just trying to hold the guitar up. I wasn't too sure that the strap buttons were in the right place either for standing up. Also they come out of the factory setup with too much angle in its neck so the strings are a long way from the higher frets which makes it uncomfortable to play. I replaced mine with a 3/4 size squier and it felt much higher in quality (but the frets are a little closer together than a normal size guitar so you never feel quite right). Perhaps a better choice although much more expensive would be a Steinberger...

Good for travel
Good for travel or small spaces. I bought for my son, he said it need better stings and definitely need used with a strap being it's awkward to hold due to shape. Good for the money.
