Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading Bunny Roo, I Love You. Review: Beautifully illustrated and perfect for baby showers - Bring on the tissues. This book is so sweet for new parents and babies. Beautifully illustrated, too. Review: A beautiful, sweet book - The illustrator of this book is amazingly talented. The artwork is so perfect -- homey and sweet and vintage-y, and so different from the crazy primary color explosions you see in most kid books. The content/story is also very heartfelt and nearly made me tear up the first time I read it. I only wish it came in board book form, because my son is still of the age where he'll try to tear the pages (or accidentally tear them when turning the pages), and I would hate for that to happen to this beautiful book. I also highly recommend Adventures with Barefoot Critters, which is illustrated by the same woman. She's outstanding.

Most Precious Foster or Adoption Book
We received this book through the Amazon Book Club for kids. After I read it through the first time, I realized it was the story of our journey with our little girl, who is now 2 years old. We did not expect to be asked to foster a baby, and we never dreamed she was the answer to all of the prayers we didn’t even know to pray. I related to each of the mommy animals, who all comfort their “baby” in different ways. Each example reminds me of a step we took in the fostering process. We bathed her with such care and gave her “milk” when she was hungry. It’s funny because I was so clueless that I bought incredibly expensive items, like a instant formula mixer, to help make her comfortable. When the mommy runs home to make her baby a cozy den, I can feel tears as I think back to getting her crib and turning the guest room into a nursery so she would have a home. The vacations are the warm spots so she can see the world. Each page is so meaningful to me. It all leads to the absolute answer—we got everything together to bring her to our home as quickly as possible—just going on faith and prayer—and the answer is she is our baby and this is her home. All of the pieces came together to give us the honor of being her parents and knowing she truly is ours. I am so thankful to have a precious book that is not advertised as a book for adoption or fostering, but it is incredibly heartwarming and means the world to me.

Illustrations are BEAUTIFUL
We love this book and it's sequel "Bunny Roo and Duckling Too". My now 3 year old has loved it since she was 18 months! My personal favorite of her bedtime stories. Great baby shower gift!

Beautiful but not the most interesting for kids
Beautifully illustrated book. Feels a little bit more like a book for the parents more than for baby--Not because the text is so long or complex but because it lacks that certain rhythm and cadence the compelling children's books have (if that makes any sense.) It felt more like a book I should have read to my newborn infant--before she could squirm or complain--and years down the road, when I see the book, reminisce about the time my child was a newborn. Though this book isn't of any interest to my son or daughter, I'm still glad to have the book because it's so beautiful. The text and illustrations are full of sentiment and emotion I love reading it on my own and remembering the first weeks of my children's lives.

So sweet and a great message for kids
This has to be one of the cutest books I have ever read for babies and parents. I read it in the bookstore and instantly teared up. I particularly like that it references all of the "annoying" and jarring things babies do (rooting, crying, etc), as animal behaviors, and offers things that the mommy did to help solve the baby's problems. I think this book would be especially great to read to older children when they are about to become big brothers or sisters. It can remind them that they did these "annoying" behaviors too and place the baby's actions in context for them, as something all animals do, and as actions that mommies and families need to help soothe. The illustrations are exceptionally cute, too. I've ended up purchasing three more copies to give as presents to my new parent friends, all of whom had the same teary reaction I had. Love!

Oh so good! Our fav!
We LOVE this book. We have been reading it from the first month of baby's life. She is now 8 months old and the words of the story are so true. You don't realize it until time passes and then you make the connection. It's so sweet. I also love the illustrations not the typical bold in your face colors which is a pleasant surprise. It is also a quick read which is good with a moving baby!
