Blue OxBX88285 EZ Light Wiring Harness for Jeep Wrangler (2007-2017)

Installed this on my 2013 Rubicon in less than an hour. Pretty straightforward and worked like a charm. Only thing I wish they would have done is make the ground wire on the harness that plugs into the RV longer. Other than that good to go!

When wiring the tail lights to tow on my previous Jeeps (2009 2013 models), I always used diodes. For whatever reason, I couldn't get the diodes to work properly on my 2014. I ordered the Blue Ox kit and was able to install it in a matter of minutes! Great product. I wish I had ordered it sooner and could have saved about 6 hours of work trying to get the diodes in. The only problem was the fact that Blue Ox had included the wrong install instructions but I was able to go on-line and print off the correct ones. Easy install.

Kit was missing adhesive strips for controller mounting, but easy otherwise.

I thought at first that I would return this as there was a taillight kit also included in the BlueOx accessory set. So glad I didn't! The one that comes in the accessory kit includes wire, diodes, light sockets, bulbs and a plug that hooks to the lighting umbilical that's in the kit. That set requires you to cut the factory harness and install the diodes before running the wiring. You then drill a new hole into the back of your taillight and insert the socket and bulb. The EZ light wiring harness, however, only requires you to unplug the factory harness at each taillight, connect the harness to the taillight, then connect the other end of the harness back to the factory wiring harness. No diodes, no splices, no cutting the factory harness, etc. the small computer box is waterproof and Dan be mounted anywhere convenient; in my case, we mounted it behind the left taillight. Route the wires to the front bumper and you're done. To work with the accessory kit, I used the round metal socket that came in the accessory kit instead of the one that cane with the harness. Worked like a charm!

This kit is the way to go. I was going to make one myself and was running out of time before my vacation so i just order one. And even though it's over priced I must admit it was very easy to install. All the wires are maybe a little to long but I guess thats better than too short. I used a few extra Zip ties during my install to take up the slack. If you want to make one your self you can be all the materials on amazon for around $15 but this is done and i had it installed in under an hour doing a nice neat job.

This harness was a simple plug in for my 2015 Wrangler. It took about an hour to remove the tail lights and disconnect the plugs and insert the plugs on the harness and re-connect, then thread the wire along the right side frame . I used zip ties to keep the wires secured to the frame and brought out the connector below the front bumper. Works great with my Blue Ox base plate and tow bar. This was by far the easiest towing light installation I have ever done on a tow vehicle.

Very easy, neat, clean installation.

Same problem as others, wrong part number wrong instructions, didn't match the Amazon picture and ultimately didn't work.

Easily installed on a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and works great.
