Maintains flavor throughout cooking process
I have a rare swallowing condition and I need to blend all of my food. It is a lot of work. I have to cook the food, blend it and assemble a pureed meal. Many times when food is blended, it loses flavor and the seasoning put into the dish. This product maintains the flavor through cooking and blending and provides me two components of a meal with protein, grains, and I just add pureed vegetables to it. I really enjoy the flavor. It has a very nice flavor. I recommend this to people who want to save time on food prep.

My go-to meal!
We used to buy these at the supermarket but I guess Vigo decided not to supply stores anymore. I haven’t seen them on shelves for years so I was thrilled to see that Amazon carried them and at a really good price. They are delicious and a perfect go-to when you don’t want to spend a bunch of time cooking dinner.

Overpriced
The mix was good but very overpriced

I really like these rice kits. Similar to the Mexican Rice version, it's quick and easy to make. I will normally roast some seasoned pork and then shred it to layer over the rice when I serve it. That makes for a quick and really delicious meal that can easily satisfy four to six people. Super simple and a great time saver. I think it could also work well with cubes of ham as well. The seasoning in the rice is flavourful, but not strong, so whatever protein you add to the disk to go with it shouldn't be too strong in taste otherwise it would over-ride the flavour of the rice mixture.
