Higher Quality Ramen
I love this brand of ramen - it's of higher quality than the ten for a pack that is sold in most grocery stores. The noodles stay firm longer while retaining the flavor of whatever broth you choose to submerge it in. I don't use the flavor packet because of the high sodium content so I use chicken or vegetable broth, a dash of cayenne pepper and sesame oil, add some shrimp, leftover chicken or turkey, and chopped scallions. Then you have a delicious meal, perfect for a cold day.

I've eaten so many of these that I'm gonna get high blood pressure
A 24 pack of these is really irresistible. It's got that chicken taste from Top Ramen you've come to love but has a bit more refinement to it. The quality of the noodles is also maybe one notch above as well. Although it's not like Shin noodle elasticity, it's much thinner and less heavy. Tasty, but I can't eat any more of these.

Decent quality instant ramen
The problem with a lot of instant ramen is that it gets mushy if you leave it in it's broth for too long, not this stuff though, this stuff stays firm so you can take your time eating it, or construct a fancy ramen bowl. The broth has a nice strong chicken-stock flavor. I highly recommend eating it with caramelized onions, chicken, sausage, fresh crunchy veggies, and a boiled egg. Great if you want fancy ramen without having to leave your house.

Best Ramen-style soup you can buy
They sell this in stores and people skip it as it is resigned to the "Asian food section". Those people's loss is my gain! The only thing close that was actually superior was a Mancuran or maybe Top Ramen "Organic" ramen soup that was so good, like what typically happens in America, they then pull it from the shelves. There's so many awesome products that come out and people go "OMG this is awesome!" and it's like we can't have good things, so they "pull it".In the meantime, this is your preview of what the ACTUAL good stuff tastes like. Everything is great. I'd recommend playing around with it, like, adding crushed red peppers, a minute tinge of garlic salt, and if you have any left over chicken or grilled shrimp, chuck into a bowl of this stuff and you won't regret it.This is supremely the best I've had for the time-being. It's a bit up there price-wise, but totally worth it.Just make one, and then make the cheapo $.25-.$75 "ramen" soups so you can realize the difference.

Soy-free and SOOOO Good!
As a latch-key kid, I ate a lot of ramen growing up (we were a Maruchan family). Fast forward a decade and I find out I’m allergic to soy. While I quickly found work-arounds or alternatives to other Asian staples (coconut aminos work wonders), I didn’t have a way to eat ramen. Sure, I tried buying plain ramen noodles and doctoring them up to emulate the brightly colored packaged heart attacks of my youth, but it was nowhere near the same. Then, I was introduced to an international grocery store, and one day, while wandering the aisles, I found the ramen section and saw a brand my local grocery had never carried. Sapporo Ichiban. I grabbed a package of the chicken ramen and half-heartedly checked the ingredients, full expecting the noodles to contain soy sauce like all the other brands (miso and beef are always out because the flavor packets always have soy protein or sauce). To my shock, the noodles were soy-free. Skeptical, I bought a couple packages to try.HOOOO BOY. Best. Ramen. Ever. At least of the instant variety. The noodles cook up nicely without getting slimy if you cook them a half-second too long. The sodium, while high, is not as bad as some brands, and better yet, there is more protein packed in every bowl than the cheaper brands. If you love ramen but want to feel slightly less guilty about eating instant ramen, buy Sapporo!

Hold alarm at outer box ‘packaged on’ date. ‘Best buy’ date on individual packages 10 years later.
These arrived and all seemed well until we noticed that the ‘packaged on’ date stamped on the outer cardboard box was over 10 years ago, so the assumption was that the contents were obviously expired. Not so... ‘best buy’ date on the individual packages inside gave them over another year to go. I don’t know what that says about this “food,” but it’s not like people don’t know what they’re getting.Try adding a bit of leftover chicken, or shrimp, tofu, tossing in some baby spinach while the soup is freshly heated to wilt them, or some bits of seaweed to rehydrate them. Lots of options to jazz up this go-to comfort food and make it feel a little less junky. If you don’t use the whole seasoning packet, a dash can also often be added to other dishes.

Will never buy another brand again!
I bought Sapporo Ichiban brand when Amazon pantry started running out of products due to the Coronavirus quarantine. I had to buy the box of 24, but since my husband loves ramen, that wasn't a problem. I started with the beef, but very quickly determined that it was so superior to any ramen we had eaten in the past that I had to order the chicken flavor as well. With other ramen brands, I always had to supplement the flavor with beef base or chicken base. Sapporo needs no enhancement as the flavor is superb. My husband loves both flavors with beaten egg stirred in and I'm happy to do that to give him the protein. All in all I would say that if ramen is your thing, this is the best you can buy.

Best Saimin Ever!!!
I lived in Hawaii for 30 years and some times, you just gotta have a bowl of saimin on chilly nights, fast lunches or quick dinners! The brand you find in most grocery stores give you soggy noodles. Granted, there's still a TON of sodium in the powdered flavor package but Sapporo Brand noodles are very firm, almost al dente compared to the run of the mill store brands. Amazon has them available at a really good price/package. It's not 10 for $10, but you pay for what you get.
