T10000 10000 Gallons Torpedo Pump

This is my 4th one in 10 years. I have resolved myself to the fact that this will develop an internal short anywhere from 1-2 years from installation. I have discovered that one the internal short occurs that I can take the pump off of the circuit breaker outlet and run the pump for another 1 year+ off of a non-circuit breaker outlet (probably not the smartest thing to do). That is because the internal short will trip the outlet breaker, but does not immediately disable the pump, provided you can get power to the pump. All good things come to an end, and this pump is no different. Toward the end of the life of this pump, it will start whining during active use (for months). That is your warning signal to start saving money to buy another one and have it handy in the garage. Mine have lasted at least 2 1/2 years with that procedure with daily use of 8-10 hours.

This pump pumps a lot of water but don't expect it to last more than 2 seasons. This is the third one I've bought because I haven't wanted to spring for the more expensive pumps that will last longer. They work fine for about 1.5 years and then they start to make noise. The noise becomes progressively louder and then they seize up. However, for the price, they are an OK pump.This is an update. I intended to write a review of webb's water garden (the seller) but I couldn't figure out how to do that. This pump failed after 6 months. I contacted Webb's and the sent me an rma number. I had my new pump in 3 days. I couldn't be happier and will definitely buy from them in the future.

I have owned three of these pumps and each time it failed because of leaves and mud getting into the basin. I run it continually all year but will shut it down when fall comes around this year. Other than that they run great I will by another one if it fails again. Similar pumps are much more expensive.

I like the Cal Pump T-10000, and its performance. I don’t like the six month warranty. As you can see, it powers our fountain and propels water from the bottom to the top, which is about 6 feet. Overall, it is the perfect pump for our need.

Large pond with large Waterfall feature. Bought 3 pumps, submerged In pond and then piped to top of waterfall To a small holding reservoir. The pumps pump the water to reservoir and spills over rock face back into pond. Works amazingly.

These pumps are awesome, but don’t last. We replace every couple years. Doesn’t get heavy use either.
