Product is cheap n works perfect! B sure your blend door is good. I didnt need this product but installed it anyway it was a pain but i did it. You dont need special tool like every1 says. I cut the two pieces of pipe from the inside with a dremel n pulled out heater hoses. Goodluck! I had a few screws leftover from dash. Was installed in my 2000 f150.

The core came with the insulation wrap already on and fit great. This is a big job and took me about 10 hours to complete. I'm sure I could cut that time in half now that I've done it once. The part that you have to pay attention to is the hose ends on the engine compartment side. I ordered some (dorman 800-401) that said they would fit but didn't, so make sure you get the right ones. The 800-401's are 3/4 to 5/8 and mine were actually 5/8 - 5/8. I also had a huge fight to get the old ones off even with the special removal tool I rented from Autozone. I pretty much broke the old ones to get them off. As for the hose ends, I ended up going to NAPA for the right size so I could finish the job the same day. If you get the NAPA ends, there is an extra spacer in them that you need to take out or they will not snap on the heater core.

Installed in my '98 F150. It fit great. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that the previous owner must have replaced the OEM with this exact same model some time ago, and it developed a leak. The part number and stickers of the old leaking version were identical to the brand new version. Not sure how long it lasted. Hope the 3rd one runs forever - removing the dash is a PITA.

This heater core fit my 1999 Ford F150 5.4L perfectly. It was already wrapped in foam and was an exact fitment for my vehicle. I have used Spectra radiators several times and I expect this heater core to last as well as their other products.The assembly quality looked good, the product arrived with no damage to the cooling fins and overall I would definitely buy this again.My personal recommendation is to replace the blend door while you are in the heater core box. They are a very common failure item and not worth the additional labor required to remove the dash a second time if it winds up failing.
