L.A. GirlMatte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss, Timeless, 0.17 Ounce

I previously gave this product a lower rating, but after retrying it a few months later, I have found that it is much better than I originally thought. When I first tried the product, I thought that it exaggerated every line in my lips and was uncomfortably sticky after applying. I started using a different brand of liquid lipstick before trying this brand again. When I applied it, I was shocked at how smooth and soft it felt on my lips. It was still sticky, but a bit of finishing powder easily fixed that. The stickiness is kind of annoying, but its easy to get used to of you don't have any setting or finishing powder. When I put it on, the color looked nice and the lines in my lips looked normal. The shape of the applicator made it so easy to draw a smooth line. I think that I only disliked this product before because it was my first time trying a liquid lipstick. Now that I am used to the application and the texture of this type of product, I appreciate it much more. Make sure you don't have super dry lips and apply it in a thin layer so that it isn't too sticky and so that it doesn't have a weird texture. If this is your first liquid lipstick and you decide you don't like the product, keep practicing or revisit it after some time has passed.

I purchased 2 of these. Timeless (bottom lip) and Black Current (top lip). Black Current is a fairly vivid purple (not even close to as deep and dark as it shows) which I would have been fine with, the reason the the low review is that the particular shade Black current did not go on very smooth or solid, even with a few coats, it does not cover well and both the lipsticks I got are extremely sticky, do not dry even after a few hours and after blotting the excess off, my lips were extremely dry. The removal was terrible, I was afraid I wouldn't get it off before I had to go to work and had to really scrub and distress my lips to get it to come off. The color Timeless was pretty but again a little more pink than shown. It also did cover better and more easily than the dark shade but that's pretty common with liquid lipstick since imperfections show 10x more with a dark color on pink lips.If I would have known it stayed so sticky, especially more at the end points in my lips, I would have never purchased these.Do have to say I was expecting them to be smaller so there's that.Very disappointed

This gloss is the boss and does the J.O.B. I love the fact that it goes on as smooth as gloss and lasts longer than lipstick. The L.A. Girl Matte will literally last me through foods, drinks, sweat, and sleeves and will still stays on perfectly. I bought a 0.17 oz and I’m surprised by how much less I go through this gloss than my previous one. I didn’t have to re-apply it over and over again so I’m saving gloss and time. Also, I must say, my lips are so much more pronounced when I wear this and it literally looks like a lip-make-over! Don’t rub your lips together while wearing this and I’ll tell you why. The gloss doesn’t rub well against itself, so it actually helped me avoid compulsively biting my lips because the surface of the gloss has such a flat finish feel. Now I have a simple fashionable motivator to stop my lip anxiousness. Lastly, I found a warm cloth of soap and water removes the gloss and it wasn’t necessary for me to apply any oil to remove it.Pros:Bold colorLong-lasting lip-wear and through everythingNo smearingBest of both world; goes on like gloss with a longer-lasting effect than lipstickCons:Don’t compress your lips while wearing this. It doesn’t ruin the gloss, of course, but the flat finish doesn’t feel good against itself.

I bought this on a whim. I'm still getting into make up and learning how to live with lipstick. I was tired of the usual shades of reds and pinks. I wanted to try something with a bolder color so I was drawn to Stunner to try. I love purple and I figured worse case I'd have a good lipstick for Halloween or a costume party.What I got was a very vividly done color. Just one swipe and the color was so bold on me that I was at a loss for words. I've had lipsticks and lip glosses where you've had to do multiple layers upon layers to really get the colors to shine--this was not the case. I usually try to prep my lips with all the usual Youtube trips (concealer, exfoliating, etc.) This required none of that. The color went on smoothly. The consistency wasn't too runny nor too thick. It was spreadable and the wand was perfectly helpful.The draw backs?After application and getting the color where I wanted it, I stopped admiring myself in the mirror and realized that there was a few problems. The lip pigment was pretty stick feeling, and honestly a bit heavy as it dried for my likes. Considering the amount of color it gives, I figured that was a fair trade off. Once dried, the color would not budge. The only way for me to remove it was to use a good bit of make up remover and/or baby oil. The baby oil was by fair the nicer method. The rest left my lips too red and just a tad bit swollen looking from all the scrubbing. So I advise to be careful when using this product when removing.The biggest con for me, however, was the smell. This product does not have a nice scent at all. I could forgive the heavy feeling and the difficulty in removing given that the product's color is amazing. But the smell I just could not get around. It was strong enough that I honestly think twice before pulling this out for use.So I would say if you can forgive the smell and have some good make up remover on hand, this would be a good product to buy. The color is amazing and it doesn't budge easily.

The shade the is not that bright as shown in the picture. It is dark maroon (with pinkish undertones) very much similar to Mac diva, Maybelline divine wine..color pigmentation is good, but needs to be applied in one stroke or looks patchy (dark a few spots). Formation is bit sticky ( remains sticky even after application) and is NOT transferproof . It will suit fair skin tones, good for night occasions and in winter..
