Intense Romantic Suspense
The Glass Bottom Boat is the first book in the “Flight to Freedom” series by Laura Thomas. It’s a romantic suspense story. The main characters are Madison and her sister, Chloe. The story is set in Jamaica. The ladies are there for Chloe’s “destination wedding” to Nathan, but there’s a lot more in store than a wedding. The early chapters of the story focus on Chloe and Nathan and their upcoming wedding. There are some scenes where Madison begins to suspect someone is watching her. A threat of danger grows closer as Chloe’s wedding day approaches, and the suspense begins to intensify about midway through the book keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. The Glass Bottom Boat is a sweet, clean romance with a clear Christian message as Madison, having a new found faith, sends some one or two line prayers to God during her struggles which helps her faith in God to grow. Luke, a missionary, spends time talking with Madison and encouraging her in her faith as well. However, all of the Christianity is done tastefully and is not overdone or preachy.Laura Thomas did a great job of creating characters the reader cares about and in creating a story line that hooks the reader and keeps them turning pages to see what will happen next. She also throws in a couple twists and surprises. The book has been well-edited and is free of grammatical and typographical errors.I highly recommend the Glass Bottom Boat to readers who enjoy a clean romance story with a suspenseful story line.I give The Glass Bottom Boat by Laura Thomas 5 stars.

Good Story
Madison in Jamaica for Chloe’s wedding. Her fears of the water, a stalker an ex fiancé who wanted only the money. Came about again when she is gone and the newlyweds receive a ransom note. It was intense, good clean plot and how it ended was good.

Fast, Fun Read!
I had never read a romantic suspense novel before, and I really enjoyed the combination of those two genres! I liked that there wasn't just one layer to the mystery, and that she told the story from multiple points of view. I was definitely rooting for the main characters to get together, which to me is the sign of a good romance novel.

Just okay
I have read many romantic Christian suspense books but this one didn't make the cut as one of my favorites. The characters were not developed and the plot was predictable. While it was a unique idea, the story line left a lot to be desired.

Couldn't stop reading... it was just that good
I'm usually not a reader but this book got me hooked onto reading. The author was able to write in a way that makes you feel like you're watching the events unfold. It was quite fun trying to guess who the antagonist were throughout the book and it really kept everything exciting. I loved how the romance tied in nicely to the story line and I would definitely be purchasing the other 2 books in the series. Highly recommend this book!!

Loved this book
I'd kept this book to read as a treat on our Caribbean Cruise and what a treat it was. I loved every minute of it. As each character became alive in my mind, I was hooked. I loved the plot, the characters and the Caribbean setting. A brilliant book that I couldn't put down and I would highly recommend it.

This book is boat-iful
Riveting storyline and wasn't hard to quickly fall in love with the characters! Vivid descriptions helped to envision myself at the Jamaican resort with them and to root for Madison. Nearly a 10/10 but the tease of Nathan bringing up engagement was too much for my heart to handle without him actually following through. Loved the Christian message and story overall, even if this isn't normally my book genre.P.S. A plot twist to end the book would have been nice but not necessary
