Great Actuator
It works good but it is slow. I think it takes a full minute to extend. You think just a minute but…… a minute goes by slow, like watching the grass grow. So make sure you get the switch that locks onto the up or down position so you can be doing something else while you wait for it to extend.I used 4 of these to make an elevated bed in my camper.

Worked better than expected. Effortless power.
I was skeptical at first, but after installing and testing them on my dad's door that I welded up for him, they worked effortlessly to open it with a small 12v makita battery. To top it off the makita battery was still full after opening and closing the door. I had to weld in my own brackets because the supplied ones can't even begin to handle the torque.

BROKE AT 200 POUNDS - PLASTIC GEARS - WON'T LAST
Used 3 different times, once per month, pushed less than 200 pounds and the last time it stripped the PLASTIC gears. Wished I had known it had plastic gears but you won't find it in their description.

Works great, but watch how you place the brackets.
This thing can apply over 250 lbs of pull no problem. I have no doubt it can reach the 1000 lbs plus of push force. The brackets they gave are way too weak to be used 90 deg from the push/pull direction though, mine got bent out of whack in no time. I suspect they’d bend even if in line with the push/pull direction if you get close to the max force though, so I’m going to make my own hefty ones. It’s a good problem to have that this thing is too strong though, I love it.

Could likely jack up a small car
Using this for a chicken coop door opener. It'll crush the chickens! Of course I'm adding safety features to make sure they're safe, don't worry.Well built. Mounting hardware included looks good. Lead wire seems fine, there's about 2ft, decent AWG for the load. Takes 80 seconds to fully extend/retract. Note the duty cycle on this means you can't operate it continuously. It's meant to open/close once in a while, not all the time.

Works perfectly
Made a chicken coop door using this and an arduino. Worked great and has been dependable thus far.

Happy, but a bit disappointed.
This is my second order of Homend linear actuators. The first order I got was of an 18" stroke actuator. It was brand new and works great. For this current order, I chose 3 actuators - each with a 20" stroke. All 3 work fine, but the screws were rusted on one of them and it looks a little banged up (scratches and a piece of plastic was broken off on the bottom).Rusted screws... Come on, guys. It's not only clearly used, but it looks like it's been through a lot. Compared to the other two actuators that do indeed look brand new with screws that aren't... weathered. With that said, it does work and I simply didn't feel like having to pack it back up and ship it back and wait for a replacement. I'll just take my chance here. But I would like the company to know that even though they make great stuff, this just wasn't cool.Plus the shipping box was marginally beat up as well, but I'm blaming that one on UPS - not Homend.
