The one/two star reviews are either a lie, don't know, or work for Teva.
First pair. I got them and tried them on. They were tight. I was beginning to believe the one and two star reviews that this company has lost it's quality control. In desperation, as I wear a women's size 12 and very few sport sandals come in my size, I pulled on the tight straps. Lo and behold they all adjust! I now have a perfectly adjusted pair. Although I feel a bit overpriced, I am happy with my purchase. I would recommend to friends and family IF they go on sale. Perfect for river rats and beach bums. Yes, you can wear them wet and in the water with no issues and fast dry.

Most Comfortable Shoes I've ever Worn!
I have suffered with Plantar Fasciitis for YEARS and no shoes I've bought have been overly helpful...until I bought these shoes. I've worn them non-stop during the day and my feet FINALLY feel FABULOUS!!! They're exactly what I was wanting. I 'almost' gave them 4 stars because of the ankle strap being WAY too long but it wouldn't stop me from buying them again and I still love them so I'm keeping it a 5 star review. I just need to figure out a way to cut it down without ruining the strap or making it fray. I have such skinny ankles that I could tighten them even more but I worry - even as they are now, that someone will step on the strap and I'll trip and fall. And since I'm 54 I don't want to be falling and breaking a hip or something. Seems like a liability hazard for the shoe company. But if you don't have super skinny ankles it might not be as much of a problem. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!!!! I will definitely buy them again! I wear a size 7 - 7 1/2 and bought a size 7 and they couldn't fit more perfectly! Can't sing their praises more!***An update - my niece has these shoes and she showed me a way to tuck the strap in a way that doesn't rub the back of my foot. Works like a CHARM! So now I have ZERO COMPLAINTS about them! I'll try to describe it the best I can: Take the leftover strap and put it under the strap on the ankle (behind the buckle thing), pull it up through the top of the strap. Then put the strap between the 2 straps and it tucks aware really nicely. I'll try to post photos showing how it's done.

Uneven strap length
I love Chacos and was so excited to get these. On my left sandal the strap is extra long(so long I have to wrap in around and under in the back which isn't comfortable). The strap on the right sandal is perfect and is the length of my other Chacos. Not sure why this happened. The cost of Chacos is worth it if they come as expected. I am really disappointed that I paid so much for uncomfortable shoes that will be hard to wear on one foot.

Best Flip-Flip EVER!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!
I have owned several pairs of Chaco Sandals throughout the years, these sandals last a very long time. They are well made. The tread is great for slippery/sandy surfaces. The arch support is perfect, your feet will not sweat on the rubber sole, (I live in the high Desert where temps get to 115, so this could be a problem.) I wear a 5 or 6 depending on type of shoe, I bought a 5 and they fit perfectly. The straps were not too loose or tight, (I have narrow feet so I was concerned that I might slosh around in them.) No 'break-in' period. I practically live in these shoes all year round. Highly recommend!!!!!

Great shoe
I like these a lot, they're very adjustable and comfortable and easy to wear on a lot of different terrains. I've had to start wearing the toe straps flat because they would tighten and were cutting into me. Wearing them like this makes them a tiny bit loose since now I have to have the straps are tightened all the way to make them fit, but they still stay on.

Awesome Shoe, but heads up: Wide = Looser
I would like to first state that the chaco flip is my favorite shoe--EVER (except for sparkly jelly shoes when I was 6). I had a pair of size 7, Medium width, that I wore almost non-stop for 3 years. I did have a local cobble shop glue the strap back in on one of them during that time to extend by 1 more season. They are definitely non-slip, both in the traction of the sole and also in the foot bed. Your feet will not slide around in them when wet (until you wear them plum out like I did). I hiked in my flips probably the way that many people hike in Chaco Sandals--all day, miles at a time, around climbing areas and river beds with rocks and roots and grades. I even scrambled up sandstone bluffs with them (pack on my back)--just awesome traction. That said, I have cave-person feet (politically correct?) that are pretty wide and reminiscent of Tarzan, so I gladly opted for the wide sole. The actual sole is perfect (both wider and longer than the Medium that I had)!! It just turns out that the straps/thongs are looser in the wide version, which is great for leisure time by the pool, but no so great when you walk in beach sand or hike or try to win a spontaneous foot race... They "flop" around now. I plan to keep them, but am predicting I'll be cursing when I inevitably think I'll be just fine trying to cross mini rapids in my flips and I eat it...

The very best flip flop ever
I can't tell you enough good things about these. I can tell you that I now can't wear a regular flip flop no matter how cute because these dang things are just so much more comfortable!!!! I bought these probably about 2 years ago and wear them everyday (I work from home) and they still look brand new. I am thinking that 10 years of use on these is probably not out of the question. They are worth every penny. LOVE< LOVE<LOVE them!!! Buy some you won't be disappointed! FYI--you may want to give them a week to let your foot adjust to them, at first I didn't think I was going to like them but after a couple of days my feet loved them! I wish I could find a tennis shoe even 1/2 this comfortable!

Expensive but worth every penny.
This is my second pair of these flip flops. have worn them daily for years and my feet do not hurt. Great arch support. Noticed they were getting a bit frayed and didn't want them to break and then be without them. very expensive but I will pay any price for my feet to feel good. I'm 72 years old, so these feet have been around and taken lots of abuse. I can wear them all day and no pain. Not many shoes I can say that about. No half sizes so i ordered up. A little big but not a problem. Extra bonus, they come in wide.
