Digital Alarm Clock Radio with CD Player and USB Charge Port

The instructions were a bit hard to use - otherwise I would have given a 5 on everything - I wake up to cd for the first alarm and the second I have it on the buzzer and believe me you will get up - if nothing else to shut it up!

This digital clock/CD player is exactly what I was looking for in my home office, i.e., a large time display and, most importantly, a CD player. The settings are not particularly user friendly but I figured it out without too much trouble. So far it plays well, the audio is more than adequate for my needs, i.e., background music for work and for my home yoga sessions and I am pleased. In this time of inflated prices and for what I paid for it, I'm just happy that it works as well as it does.

UPDATE:At first I left this with a 4 star review but wanted to change it to a 5 star now. My only complaint at the time was that you could not use either the CD player or radio and fall asleep and also have the alarm work in the morning. I have since found that you can! First you have to set your alarm, turn it on then you can turn on either the CD or radio then push the "SLEEP" button that has a timer starting at 90 minutes which you can adjust lower if you like. As long as you have your alarm set to "Buzzer" when the timer counts down it will switch back to the clock and the alarm will go off at the set time. Remember if you have your alarm set to wake you with the CD or radio it will only turn on as loud as you had it set before you went to sleep. This truly is a great little CD and radio Digital Alarm Clock!OK so I know there are a lot of negative reviews about the NAXA digital alarm clock but I have to say that it really does have some nice features. The CD player works great, I get great reception on the radio, IF you read the instructions its really not that hard to figure out. Yes I did have some trouble setting the minutes for the clock but other than that I was able to set every thing else without a problem.Now there is only one thing I don't like about it but can still live with is that you CAN NOT say fall asleep with the CD playing and expect the alarm to wake you in the morning. If you don't have it on the time display the alarm WON'T work. With that being said to me for the price its a great bargain. I did contact NAXA to ask about the alarm working when the CD is being used however their customer service is non existent, the only answer I received back from them was a "return authorization' even though I never asked to return it.If you need something that you can listen too, radio or CD and have the alarm work too this is not for you. If you are looking for a alarm clock/radio/CD player with a small foot print then I would say give it a try. With dual alarm modes and the ability to preset radio stations its a great little unit.

My kids both wanted an alarm clock with a cd player so they can listen to audio books as they fall asleep at night and wake up to the same book in the morning. This one is nice in that the alarm volume can be set differently from the night time cd volume. I like that it has two alarms. I do NOT like that my kids cannot fall asleep to the cd player AND have the alarm come on in the morning. I have to go in and manually turn off their cd players. I hate it. If I forget to turn off the cd player, my kids alarms dont go off to wake them in the morning. It defeats the whole purpose of why we bought these clocks. And I despise having to turn them off at night... one more thing I have to do as a mom. I used to have a clock/ cd player from Memorex for years and years, but the cd player just wore out. I cannot find a replacement. THAT was a good clock! This one, not so much, and we have TWO. :( DOUBLE DISAPPOINTMENTUPDATE: After having this only 2 -2.5 years, the cd player burned a ridge in a brand new cd. It's like the cd quit spinning but the laser kept trying to read the disc. Thankfully a game store was able to resurface the cd and it's fixed. The second clock still plays but sounds rough and if I don't turn it off at night my son gets woken up by the noise the player makes. Both of the cd players/clocks are now recycled as worthless.

I ordered this as a gift for my brother. Of course once I gave it to him he asked me to set it up for him.The features work as they should. Great space saver, quality sound.I gave it three stars because other than the setup I haven’t used this product other than setting it up

Very easy to set up and like that the clock is easy to read.

I have been purchasing these NAXA Clock Radio/CD Player for a while. They burn out after five years and this is my third unit. I mainly purchase the same brand due to price and it is compact unit that includes the clock/CD player/AM/FM radio. Received this unit a few weeks ago and it is difficult to program the time and radio stations. The sad thing is, some of clock display has burned out you can see the hour and have to guess the minutes. The past units only the CD player would stop working and considering they lasted 5 years plus I did not mind ordering another due the price. The older units were easy to program, and the clock display never burned out.

I am very pleased with the performance of this device, and the quality look and feel of it. Sound is excellent for its size. The digital tuner is sensitive, bringing in stations that our other radios don't, and digital tuning is much easier than the older analog type. Also, it has many options for playback, maybe too many, such as pre-selecting individual tracks on CD's so you can find them quickly. Not very useful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the instructions were not well written and not complete, although I was finally able to figure out how to use the unit. Also, the control layout could probably be easier to use, especially if a few of the more exotic options were eliminated. But overall I am very pleased with this, and would recommend it to a friend to buy if they were looking for a radio and CD player for bedside use, with the time-to-sleep function for bedtime.
