tiny print, no illustrations
I debated buying this after reading the prior review, and also given that I was leery of the misspelling "Tadger" instead of "Tajar," but I did so anyway figuring the price was right. I am disappointed. As the other reviewer noted, the print on this is teeny. I did not realize that there are NO illustrations. I have seen two different copies of the 1925 original, and am am having a hard time believing that a re-printed version couldn't have had larger typeface and included the original illustrations. It's not worth sending it back, so I gave it to a friend and suggested her child could draw illustrations in the (huge) margins. Pity, too -- it's a wonderful old book if you can find a copy.

It's not the copy I had hoped.
It appears to have been copied somehow, and every two page between the "good" has black marks and nothing else. The whole story is there, but it's very ugly and would be difficult for a kid to read.

The right book, but a bad printing/publishing job
I was looking for illustrated stories of the Tajar, and this version is a reprint of the original stories published in 1921, but the publisher did a poor job. In fact, there is a publisher's note in the beginning explaining that they deliberately chose to reprint exactly as the original, but what this means is that each page of the book looks like a reduced xeroxed copy: only about a 1/3 of each page has text, with huge empty borders. I guess I'll be letting our children illustrate in the margins, but what a waste of paper.

A Winner for Tajer Lovers!
Always a winner for Tajer Lovers! Was very excited to find this book. Grew up with these stories and love passing them on. It took quite a while for this to get here, I think they may be printed by order.

Abysmal
Contained only the first story of the collection, and none if the delightful illustrations. For 99¢, not even worth the kindle.

Great stories for reading aloud.
I first bought this little book back in the 60s, and have read its stories to multiple generations of campers. If you are ever in need of something to read to kids in a setting camp or to kids who have been to camp this is hard to beat.

Serious formatting issues.
So many formatting issues that it's almost impossible to read. Skip this version.

Good to see still available
Enjoyed these stories when my daughter was young and was glad a version could still be found to share with grandchildren given the age of the originals. The printing is a bit difficult to read, and it is a little odd to have pages only printed on one side, given the resource it came from, didn't mind versus not being able enjoy these fun stories.
