Works well, needs more color choices, can be dyed
This entrenching tool pouch works perfectly for the Gerber E-tool folding spade with serrated edge, but if you want other colors be prepared to dye it. I docked a star for this reason. It took me a long time and many failed dye jobs but I got a match for the "OD green" used by Condor bags and accessories. The recipe is as follows (courtesy Judy Coates Perez of Painted Threads Projects blog):"Army Green"2 tsp golden yellow Rit powder dye1 tsp black Rit liquid dye1/2 tsp dark green Rit liquid dyemixed in 1 cup water...then added to 2.5 - 3 gallons of simmering water. This particular mix took hours to get to the right shade, and is mostly uniform. You have to watch it! When it looks slightly darker than the Condor gear you're trying to match it to, it's probably done. It lightens when dried. At first, I tried the official Rit olive drab recipe, and this thing came out purple after maybe an hour. Then, I used the Rit color remover, and tried forest green alone, and the dye took within 5 minutes. That was the wrong shade of green, and didn't look good. After another dunk in the color remover, I tried the above recipe and it looks great. This was the first time I dyed anything and I hope sharing this experience helps others who just want this stupid thing in olive drab/army green.Of course, after it has been cooked in simmering water this many times, the snap buttons are scratched up and rusty, and the fabric feels a bit rough. But it does the job!Protip: don't buy the Rit dyes on Amazon - they are overpriced! Buy them at a local crafts store.

Works great, smells terrible
I know this is probably a weird review to leave for a molle pouch but it is what it is. The bag is well build and sturdy, definitely glad i purchased it. The issue I have is that the bag smells heavily of vomit, so much so that when i took the pouch out of its bag I almost threw up. Other than that it is exactly what you would want it to be.

Tight, but the shovel fits
The shovel fits in but is very tight. It was so tight that I had to have my husband put it in the first time. That is the only reason I gave it four stars. Otherwise it would be a 5. But after the shovel stayed in it for a few weeks it loosened up and was easier to get in and out of this.

Great quality!
It holds the standard (or smaller) E-Tool. It's well-built and looks to be same quality as I had in the Marines.. although these are army camo and not what I'm used to from the USMC.. :)If you found this review helpful, even just a little, please click the "yes" button below, thank you!

As advertised
Very nice compact pouch for my fold up trenching kit. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ML7TYW/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1The MOLLE system is very sound and mounted easily to my pack and fastened snugly in place. As advertised, I purchased mine used and it had a few small stains from usage etc, which the seller absolutely informed me would be there. (Besides its a shovel cover and is going to get dirty!). This pouch is far superior to the vinyl ones often shipped with trenching kits/fold up shovels and I fully expect it to hold up to the rigors I will put it through. Great deal!

Its nice when things just work like they're supposed to
Took a couple extra days to get out the door with the christmas holiday but once I got it I was very pleased with its construction. Not 100% sure its genuine military issue or anything but it fits my e-tool perfectly and has molle straps on the back and a pretty heavy duty plastic clip on the front. The fabric seems pretty sturdy (even if ACU is a horrible pattern compared to multicam) and it has a drainage hole with a metal grommet at the bottom. Thats a small concern for years down the road when it rusts and eats away at the base of the pouch and the e-tool falls out but for now its perfect.

It will work
It will indeed cover your GI entrenching tool. Lightweight, ACU with ALICE clips. Made in America 🇺🇸. But personally I like the other one I have better. It’s the rubber/polymer one that is also military surplus. Just seems like it is more durable. Don’t get me wrong, this is a quality product just personal preference. Highly recommend. Fits Gerber etool
Fits the Gerber etool very well. Molle attachments are fairly solid. Stitching seems like it will hold up to some rough treatment. If you have a Gerber folding etool, this tool cover will work.
