Is this product definitely gluten free?

The hickory-smoked ones are (which is why I can't eat them), but the Teriyaki ones are Seitan, which, thank goodness, is 100% gluten (I'm soy intolerant). If you have a wheat allergy, stick to the soy strips (Hickory Smoked), but do not buy the Teriyaki ones of the same brand. If, like me, anyone happens to be soy-intolerant, the Teriyaki ones contain a little soy (soy sauce in the teriyaki), but no where near the amount of soy most vegetarian food is infested with (and instead are primarily made of yummy, healthy wheat gluten).

When I have ordered the Primal Thai peanut flavored jerky they usually have an expiration date a year from when I get them.

Is the individual jerky packaging recyclable ?

No, most plastic food wrap isn't recyclable.

what is the shelf life of these?

Not sure of the official shelf life, but we keep them for months in the pantry and they are still good.
