My son now has a daughter and got this as an early Christmas present for his family. The first book we got sometime ago and it went to my oldest son house. My boys have both loved this story and now the next generation will be learning the gift of giving.

This is a wonderful book; highly recommended. This is the second copy I’ve purchased.

We got this just before Christmas. I made it one of their Advent surprises. This was such a rich way to learn history and a very meaningful story about seeing needs, giving and mercy. The included DVD will make you cry....get some tissues. This will be a Christmas tradition from now on for my family.

I vaguely remember hearing about the Candy Bomber but this story was great to learn more. I love that it's based on fact so it's a real feel good story. The pictures are soft and beautiful. I love that there's the story and small tidbits along the side for more info. I loved reading that part but my daughter was happy with just the story. Either way it's a great Christmas story and a fun, uplifting learning story from a sad and terrible war.

Delivered in the express time I paid for. The cost of this book is excessively over-priced, even with the 15 minutes DVD included,I found out I could have purchased the COMPLETE DVD of the 2012 Christmas show for much less than I paid for the book.While the book is beautifully illustrated and bound, it's no collector's item as the price leads you to expect.The story itself is spectacular. No one should miss it!

This is a beautiful heartfelt story. It gives a entirely different perspective of the war. It teaches children that people are still compassionate even in horrible circumstances and situations.
