SpeedoMen's Classic

I ordered these shorts in size Med in the Classic Blue color. I received the item only 2 days after placing the order. The color of these shorts is very nice, we didn't get the black due to the heat of wearing black in the summer. However, the construction of these shorts leaves a lot to be desired. I expected much much more from a name brand company like Speedos.First, the shorts aren't as short as I expected them to be. Measured from the waist to the bottom of the leg is 14 3/4" on the outside of the leg and 16" on the inside.(I bought these because they are short for unrestricted swimming. However I did expect to have to hem them a little for my husband). He is 5'6" and they are mid-thigh on him. This part wasn't a big deal since I already expected to have to hem them.The worst part about these shorts is that they are quite baggy in the butt area and the legs. (at least twice what is needed). When swimming, they were super annoying to my husband because they would balloon up and if he was standing still but other people are swimming around him, they would constantly feel like something was taking off with his shorts.In addition, the external crotch area hangs extremely low, almost two widths of my husbands hands and it is sewn nowhere near the internal crotch lining. This was also something that annoyed my husband. The internal crotch area in the lining is perfect and I could see the external crotch area being slightly lower but not two hand widths.I am only keeping them because I can fix them with the sewing machine however, if you are not interested in hemming them, you may search for another product.

Fits perfect. Extremely comfortable. This is the quintessential swim jammer. Don't feel I will be needing another one for a looong time.

The item is ok. I think the sizing is a little bit off. I used to buy medium and good I bought thesmall size if not it could have been too big. As mentioned by another reviewer the fabric is notas soft as I expected it. the length is good not too short or long.

The swimsuit is a fine for a conservative man - which I am. My big complaint is that is doesn't have a pocket of any kind, either side or hip. There is a key holder inside the suit, but nothing on the outside.It should have one side pocket, and a zipper close hip pocket large enough to hold a waterproof wallet device, etc.

Bought this short for lap swim as my wife says I'm too old (58)for the briefer styles. I knew it wouldn't be super streamlined, but it's not too bad except for the waistband which tips away from my back when pushing off the wall and when doing butterfly. Material dries very quickly, quality seems good.

This suit is sized correctly. I'm glad that I did not order a size larger as was suggested elsewhere for Speedo suits. It is not the "longs" that go to the knees or below that younger guys seem to think of as shorts. I'm 66 years old and remember when shorts were indeed shorts! Remember what basketball shorts used to look like! Now they're almost basketball pants - not much shorter than the warm-ups! So, if you are older and remember what shorts really are, you'll love this suit.

Swimming

These Speedo Endurance really last. I get 6 months of daily workout in these. The non-Endurance last at most two months, usually less. Endurance do not stretch down below your knees. Endurance do not thin out along the back seam. Great jammers for serious swimmers.

I've always been a swimmer but for various reasons I haven't had the opportunity to get into the water recently for anything other than messing around with the family. With a change in circumstances I have been able to get back to using swimming as a fitness tool. I started off using my usual baggy swimming shorts and found these to be very uncomfortable. They would bunch up at the top of my leg and act like a sea anchor when ever I pushed off from the side. I therefore looked at an alternative and after careful consideration I chose these shorts.I didn’t pick these to increase my speed but to improve my swimming comfort and they do just that. They are tight at the bottom of each leg, not too tight but enough so that they don’t ride/bunch up and therefore allow my to slide smoothly through the water. I have a 35/36” waist and often go up a size as my thighs can be a little chunky. I went for the large size and these fit great.For those that are concerned that these may be too tight around the front and therefore revealing, don’t worry. There is extra material at the front to ensure that everything is kept to the imagination.Overall I have been really pleased with these shorts. They are very comfortable in the water and have really helped with my swimming. Although I haven’t tested them to see if they have helped me increase my speed, I’m sure they have just with the lack of drag they provide compared to my baggy old pair, although we are probably talking only a small increase.I would recommend these to anyone that wants to swim laps for fitness.

This is the 4th pair of jammers I have bought and each one does the job. I swim approximately 15 miles a week and they have kept their shape everytime. Top quality product.

Having recently learned to swim and still frustratingly stuck in the "improver" category, I decided it was probably time to ditch the faithful bermuda shorts and go for something more sport specific. I'm glad I did. Time per length improved immediately by nearly 15% for the same effort. Putting vanity to one side, I had measured waist size (around the belt-line) and ordered on that basis. The fit is snug and comfortable. The waist cord will tighten a little, useful for security in the open water. There's an integral 'ball bag' to stop one's tackle drifting too far from its moorings and upsetting stroke rhythm. One snag though is when you revert from freestyle to breast stroke. The extra length in the leg leads to a tightening in the gusset which tends to release with an alarming >snap<. The first time this happened, I thought I'd bust a seam, but it seems that the stitching is strong enough to withstand such abuse. Since then, I've taken to wearing the leg tops pulled in to the groin area to keep flexibility in the gusset, practical and remarkably flattering too. In all, highly recommended.

Ich habe mir die gleichen Shorts vor 15 Jahren gekauft. Wollte jetzt ein weiteres Paar haben, weil ich fast täglich schwimme und die von der Konkurrenz viel schneller ranzig wurden (teilweise peeling, Formverlust, gerissene Nähte etc).Habe die hier beim Prime Day sehr günstig gefunden und daher 2x davon gekauft. Ganz im Ernst - wenn ich meine Schwimmtasche packe und mich umziehe merke ich keinen Unterschied zwischen Alt und Neu. Sieht gut aus und passen 1A! Dabei gebe ich zu bedenken, dass ich wirklich recht häufig schwimme, oft mehrmals die Woche, wann immer möglich im Freibad (UV) oder auch im Urlaub (Meerwasser). Weiterhin ist der Stoff sehr anpassungsfähig und meine Jungs können die Shorts genau so tragen (klauen sich die auch gerne)Das nenne ich SUPER-Qualität und gebe diese Rezension gerne und freiwillig ab.
