this is an awesome tool for carving, the blades are really sharp and I’ve very rarely had a problem with them getting stuck and when they do they come out with a little wiggle! i use them for carving my little stamps but I don’t think this would be good for woodwork or really anything that’s not soft like rubber. if your nub gets stuck inside you can easily unscrew the whole ball mechanism and it will come right out, felt like I needed to write this review because there was so many negative reviews but I love it! I almost didn’t order because of the reviews but I’ve been using it for a good two weeks now and never really got frustrated with it at all. The nibs are sharp and i have cut myself with them but thats 99% my fault as i am a clumsy ditz so dont gift it to children (or klutzy adults) :p

I bought this set for pumpkin carving. It worked pretty nicely, and quicker than some other tools I have tried to use. A 9-hour job took me only 6 with these. However, I left them to soak in soapy water overnight so I could wash pumpkin goo off easily the next day, and the blades were tarnished and rusty!! I couldn't believe it. I saw online you can use olive oil on them if you don't have machine oil, so we'll see if that is enough to protect them until next year, and hopefully they won't lose their beautiful sharpness.

Exactly like the one I used in school many years ago, glad they still make them with high-quality in mind! Extremely easy to use and cuts like butter. If you're carving with an X-Acto Knife I recommend treating yourself with this tool without hesitation. Only downside is it hurts my hand to use for longer than a few hours but so does writing and painting so I don't hold it accountable. I tried wrapping it to make it thicker and easier to grip but the tool is too slippery to stay on lol

It makes the job specially for Linocut. For wood, is gonna depend on the hardness of the wood. They are sharp enough.

A must have if you are making your own stamps

The cutters work well. I have seen various reviews of other speedball linocut kits that contain the same cutter handle, with people giving the product poor reviews due to "missing" tips. The carving tips are stored safely inside the handle. Untwist the cap on the bottom of the handle and you will find them.

Yo utilizo, además, un cutter de hoja larga y fina, pero prefiero tenerlo por separado, aunque en la misma cajita, junto con unas pinzas, un cepillo de sombra de ojos, y un lápiz. Es decir, ¡perfecto!

I had one of those speedball cutters before and lost it, this is the same one, original product. Came with the box quite beaten up, unfortunately, but still in perfectly new condition.
