About as sticky as oil...
I bought this to upcycle a large unit my 5foot fish tank stands on. I only wanted to cover the front and leave the top wood (emptying a huge fish tank and relocating it to paint the unit would have been far too big a job, and stress my fish out, so I thought a sticky paper would be easier)I liked the pattern and thought it would stick to my item like fablon would (I’m a dab hand at fablon and similar!). No, it barely sticks to anything. It feels like it should but I had one hell of a game with it. Tried everything from using a hair drier, sanding the wood down to ensure the surface was clean, I had also cleaned the unit using an anti grease spray. In the end I had stuck double sided carpet to my unit first and it won’t even stay stuck to that! I still covered what I wanted to and I like the look as I love the pattern so much, however I can see parts that are peeling away so think I may have to resort to supergluing those bits. Not sure how this would fair being up on a wall as I think you would wake up to it on the floor. I’ve given 2 stars as the leaf pattern is really nice and ties in with my decor. But it’s one of those jobs I wish I had never started!
