We were at wits end, this product WORKED for our boys issues.
My Choc lab mix whom we adopted from a local shelter a year ago has massive skin issues. It was easy for us to see why he'd been in and out of pounds after a few vet visits that ran us $300-400 in pills and medications in order to try and treat his issues. We determined that he was having allergy and skin microbe issues and treatments were less than effective. Unwilling to subject him to constant medications (including antibiotics and steroids to control his issues every 3 months) and totally unwilling to give up on our new boy, we went looking for an effective way to treat his issues. For information - His skin issues were an outbreak that resembled ring worm, it was not however fungal in nature and our Vets indicated that it was a microbe problem. Weak skin barrier, that caused scabs and a hair lose as his skins bacteria attacked hair follicles and any small scrap or irritation. It produced black scabs that would fall away taking clumps of hair with it and leaving bald spots. It mostly appeared on his chest to groin area although he did have some random area's on his shoulder and flank. We determined that the weeping nature of the scab caused it to spread so one scab would lead to an outbreak in an area. Iodine did help somewhat slow the spread, but short of dunking him in an iodine solution each day it was a loosing battle. Our Vet tried to help (love my Vet btw, he's an awesome guy!) and recommended a product called Butler Phytovet CK antiseptic shampoo (Also available here on Amazon) and we tried that. No luck. It, again like the iodine, did help slow his outbreaks but was not up to the task of fully controlling and curing his outbreaks. After 10 months of steroid treatments, food swaps and trying different shampoos / sprays I came across the Douxo line of products.Currently we use the Douxo Shampoo (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1HEJ0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) once a week after his Sunday morning at the dog park, the Douxo spray (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00198XFNG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) mid-week as a *top-up* for his treatment and on off days, the days he gets neither the shampoo or spray, any problem area's are treated with the Douxo wipes (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G3D8JL0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)All these products are available on Amazon or other good online pet-stores (Chewy.com etc) and so far our treatment's have not only cured any outbreaks quickly (Within a week of a scab forming the area is healed) they have also reduced his outbreaks significantly. Currently he's been on this treatment plan of ours for a month and I can say with all honesty that for the first time since we adopted him he has NO current skin issues. We tried many things to resolve his issues, the reason it took us a year to finally resolve the problem was initially we tried diet changes, as any good pet owner knows you have to change a diet for at least 2 months to get a correct read on any changes. We did feed Orijen dog food initially (One of the best brands on the market) we changed to Honest Kitchen (Another great brand) and finally now to a locally made product. This took months of *wait and see* Then the different shampoo's (Oatmeal / Aloe) then medicated shampoos.I want to point out that Orijen and Honest Kitchen are FANTASTIC foods that we've raised dogs on and had no issues with and I suspect that food was NOT our boys issues at all, I only bring it up so that you the reader knows we did everything we were supposed to in order to try and control his skin issues BEFORE we looked for a medicated skin product. All that being said .. the Douxo line of products has been a life saver for us. The initial outlay of around $60 has paid for itself easy. Since hes shampoo and spray is used once a week only we still have at least half a bottle of each so they should each last us 2 months. The pads (we bought two packs) are used daily and therefore last a little over a month each (Since 2 days a week I don't use them) So in terms of cost its about $30 a month for our dogs treatment, bare in mind he's 105lb of energetic joy, so your mileage will vary depending on your pup's size. When stacking that against a $300-400 vet bill every 3 months its a steal.I'm not saying this product will cure everything and your search is over, I am saying we have had very positive results and can't recommend this product enough. If your like we were and searching for something to manage and treat a stubborn skin issue on your dog (or cat) then toss this in your cart and give it a try, at the very least drop a few bucks on the pads and try them at first if your dubious, the worst that can happen is you don't have the great results we did and move onto another product. In the end I'm sure you, reader, will find a product that will work for your individual pets issues. It's fantastic to find a produce that brings such peace of mind to us as owners and to our joyful little man who can carry on being a good boy without that irritating itch.(Please check my review history, I seldom review products and never with a wall of text like this. This product is such a help to us I've taken time out to write this simply in the hope it will help other pet owners and their pets.)TLDR : Worked for me, Try it !!!

Please try this product if you've tried just about everything else about your dog's skin irritation/infection!
I rarely write reviews, but HAD TO write one for this shampoo because I want other dog owners to know that this shampoo COULD BE a life saver for your poor itchy puppy. We have a senior Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Mix - with reoccurring skin infections (yeast, bacterial) in her abdomen area, in between her toes and her ears. She also had scaley bumps and patches here and there on her torso. The yeast/bacteria odor was so bad. We dealt with her skin condition for a few years. We've been to the vet countless times - and have tried numerous ear cleansers, ear & skin wipes and medicated shampoos but due to us living in a place where it is warm and humid most of the year, the infections kept coming back. My dog was so miserable - and stopped enjoying her walks (her skin was inflamed, her paw/toes were inflamed) and stopped being active. We were at our wits end when our vet suggested a new medicated shampoo that they got in a few months back and he said most dog owners have seen great results. Skeptical, I bought the smaller sized bottle of Douxo Chlorhexidine PS Shampoo at the Vet (it was expensive!). Vet told us to use this shampoo on our dog twice a week. Apply shampoo all over, but concentrate on her stomach area, paws and the ear (not to be used IN the ear) - and wait 10 minutes, then rinse well. Key is to dry your dog thoroughly once she is clean. Once your dog is dry, you will feel somewhat of a "coating" on your dog's skin (especially in the hairless areas of her body) which is good - as it creates a barrier/protection on the dog's skin.Still skeptical but tried it as directed by our vet and after about two shampoos (so that would be about a week after) - we were SHOCKED that her skin was so much better! Skin became smooth, no more moisture in her abdomen area, the redness went away and she was no longer itching. Her ear flaps which were red and inflamed - returned to its normal color and the inflammation significantly reduced. The yeast infection insider her ear/ear canal - we would need to keep using her ear medication but that was to be expected. She was no longer smelly and hair started growing back on her abdomen area, and her toes were less inflamed as well. I was SO impressed that I wanted a larger size bottle and ordered it through amazon. I think our vet sells this larger bottle for about twice as much. It's been about a month and a half now - and she is still itch-free and her skin is smooth and soft. Her once inflamed toes are now back to its normal size and she is happier and more active. We also bring this shampoo for her monthly grooming - and we have the groomer use it instead of their shampoo. Make sure you tell them to leave the product in for 10 minutes before they rinse your dog.Just please, try this shampoo if you have a dog suffering from skin infections. If you're skeptical like I used to be, buy the smaller size, but I guarantee that you will come back again to buy the larger bottle.

Works great for our dog!
We've been washing our Oscar dog's paws with this for years. He has outdoor and seasonal allergies. As a puppy would found he'd constantly chew on his paws. Until, of course, we started washing his paws with this after walks. It was recommended to us by our vet and he hasn't had any problems since!Oscar is the first dog I adopted on my own as an adult. He's been a challenge as far as food allergies and health problems go. But, we've always been able to get him the help he needed in his 11 1/2 years. And, he's always been happy. I love him so much. Last night we had a really bad thunder & lightning storm. And, he curled up next to me in bed and I snuggled him up while he trembled from the noise. It was one of those moments when all you want is to take the fear away for him. But, as a dog mama, your heart almost explodes with love that he comes to you for comfort. He's a dog who likes to sleep on his own and not in the bed with us. So, I tried to stay awake as long as I could to soothe him. But, also to take in the moment. Smelling his furry Oscar head that smells wonderfully like old stuffed animals. Rubbing his sweet, soft Oscar belly. Paradoxically taking the moment in and being well-aware that some day I won't have this anymore. Falling asleep eventually with a feeling of gratitude. Waking an hour later to find he'd left for his own bed on the floor.Anyway, Amazon sells this great product and a competitive price and makes it available with Prime, which I appreciate! We're all busy these days and planning ahead isn't always an option. 100% recommend this product!

Miracle for Bulldog with skin issues!
I have an English Bulldog and he is 3 years old. He has had yeast and bumps on his skin since he was a puppy. This would result in patches of hair loss and with crusty lesions. He went through 2 rounds of antibiotics and anti-fungal medication and his skin got worse and worse. I did some research on the condition and found people using this shampoo had success so I thought I would try it. He had lost so much hair he was balding on most of his body and was very flaky from the yeast. I started using this shampoo leaving it on for 10 mins every 2nd day for about 2 weeks then would bathe him 1 time per week and now I am bathing him 1 time every 2 weeks. I am also giving him vegetarian PB-8 (probiotic) 2 times per day with his food. Within a month his coat completely grew back, he has no flakes or bumps on his skin, his coat is so soft and shiny, his coat is like it was when he was a puppy. We have been frustrated with his skin issues for that past few years and this shampoo has been an absolute miracle. I use the spray as well, once per week just as an extra. This product is excellent!!

Its not bad
This wasn't a game charger for my pup but I do like that the scent is mild. His fur didn't stay as soft like with another duo shampoo Ive used. All in all not a bad product, a bit expensive though.

Excellent Product
My dog has a problem with greasy skin. This shampoo was prescribed by my vet years ago and seems to be the only thing that keeps it under control. Because we bathe him every few weeks, I started buying it on Amazon. I love the new ingredients and pump dispenser.
