I rarely leave reviews. Generally something has to be pretty good… or pretty bad. RANCID IS BAD! I should have believed the other reviews some of which mentioned this. I thought maybe it was an isolated problem or had been corrected. Unfortunately not. The product was sealed and well within the expiration date but when opened, smell and taste was off. Either it went into the bag this way or something was very wrong in the storage conditions. Either way, I’m rating this as inedible and tossing the remaining amount in the trash.

For the price you don’t get much. Popcorn is cheap But you’re paying for the name.

I had a craving the other day for Poppycock. I ordered some Amazon "for tomorrow". For the next 24 hours I remembered the most wonderful taste in the world. How it took all my willpower not to eat a whole can in one sitting. I couldn't wait. 24 hours later when it arrived I immediately dug in. What the...? This is not Poppycock. My taste buds screamed at me, "you gave us an imposter". This is totally lackluster in flavor. It was the Amazing Glaze they said. After just a few bites I put it down, probably not to ever pick up again. What did ConAgra do to my beloved snack? The glaze is just not the same. And the nuts? Wait, where are the nuts? Poppycock had at least one nut in every clump. Now I have to search through the bag to even find a nut. Please ConAgra, read this and repent. Go back to the original formula that was so wonderful and so beloved. Melodrama aside, it is edible and sometime when I have no other snacks I might finish it. I suppose someone who never tasted the pre-ConAgra Poppycock would even think it is pretty good. That's good for 2 stars, I guess. But the old Poppycock was 6 stars.
