Would recommend this to anyone looking for more storage.
I bought this for my sons PS3 CECH-4301A. This came with everything I needed. It was so easy to install. All I had to do was attach the drive to the mounting bracket, then insert into the system and screw in 1 more screw. It took literally under 10 minutes. You do have to give it some "gentle" force sliding it into the system but then then it slides right in. This was definitely a great price and I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade. I had gone online and watched videos on how to transfer the data to the new drive. Most of what I found was people upgrading from a drive to a bigger drive. Since this was my first, I backed up all my data onto USB drives. But when I turned the system on after installing the drive, it asked me if I wanted to transfer over the saved data from the system to the drive. It was the easiest thing ever. I didn't need to use the USB drives at all.

Simple install and it worked great by following the directions. We had a model of PS3 with no hard drive but it was the version that was plug and play.

The hard drive worked after the insertion process which even if you've never done something similar you can figure it out. I've had it for some weeks and the extra space is good.

Came with a faulty screw but works fine
Arrived really fast and had it installed in 10 minutes. It comes with simple instructions that include pictures, and if you're still unsure there's plenty of tutorials on YouTube. My only complaint is that one of the four screws that came with the kit to help secure the hard drive to the mounting bracket was unthreaded, so it was just like a smooth cylinder and could not be screwed in. Fortunately the drive works just fine and was very secure with only 3 screws but it's still a concern.

This did exactly what I wanted it to do. It was easy to install and now I can play PS3 games online and have it stored.

Super easy, great price.
This was so easy to install on my12GB PS3 slim. The directions were very clear, and the adapter was high quality. Once the drive was installed, the PS3 moved all the data over to the drive, and now I have a TON of space. Love it!

not plug and play
It is not plug and play it has to have the up date downloaded and it would not work on the ps3 i ended up using it in another ps3 after I had my friend clone his ps3 hard drive if it wasn't for him I couldn't have used it

Simple and Easy to install!
works perfectly, backed up data just in case. It was easy to install, and now i got more space to add games on my lame 12gb ps3 super slim.
