Great specialty tool
The tool allows the spring ring around the washer gasket to be removed. Could probably have contrived something but this is more reliable. Not too bad price for something I hope not to use often. The LG version on lint was 5 times more expensive

LG Front Load repair - must have tool
Bought this along with a drain pump for my LG front load washing machine. This tool, though only used this one time is invaluable! I could not have completed the job without it. It worked as designed and made the repair go smoothly. Also, there is this You Tube video where someone does this repair by going in from the bottom - IGNORE THAT VIDEO! Get this tool. Also, There is a competing model that does not open as far as this one. I did not try that one but did use the maximum opening and cant imagine that one actually does the job.

Makes a tub gasket repair so easy on my LG washing machine.

It works, saves time and pain
Use this to replace the outer drum seal on my LG front load washer I've done it several times without a tool and it took me over an hour each time with this tool it took me about 20 minutes it's built fairly solid and I think it's okay for occasional use not sure about long-term regular usage though My only complaint would be that it had some notches in it so the tool didn't slide out so easily when you're trying to open it up.

Don't fix your LG front-loader washing machine without this !!
Replacing a non-functioning drain pump is pretty straight forward. The bad news is the wrangling of the spring-loaded wire loop that holds the door rubber seal to the front panel. Without these pliers, much bad language, time, and likely blood would have been wasted, They are worth it.

You Need This For Front Loader Gasket Wire Ring!
If you're repairing your front loading LG washing machine and have to remove the wire ring for the rubber gasket, you will need this expansion tool! My husband was super thankful I ordered this part for our recent repair, even with the expansion tool it was a bit difficult, he said it would have been almost impossible without it. Good recommendation from others, and here's another recommendation!

Essential for Washer Maintenance
I discovered this tool in a YouTube video that I found while researching how to clean the rubber boot in my upright Kenmore washing machine. Doing it myself saved a ton of $ (vs hiring someone to do it). I also saved a bit of coin by purchasing this one instead of the official Kenmore for which they charge $35-$40 for! If you’re going to do any sort of maintenance or repair on anything with a tension spring, you’re gonna need one! Get this one. It’s perfect for the job.

VERY Poor Manufacturing
Product was VERY poorly manufactured. Looks like someone fabricated it at home with some repurposed plier handles and a bad welding job to attach the tool forks. Don't know if it would have worked because it broke off the second I tried to use it. Perhaps another manuifacturer makes a better quality tool (?).
