A smooth writing experience - can’t stop at just one
I enjoy using fountain pens, but sometimes I feel a little self-conscious using one at work. I bought this pen so I could enjoy fountain pen ink without calling too much attention to myself. I also bought it because I’m trying to use fewer disposable plastics items. With this pen, I can use a converter or refill the cartridge with a syringe and produce a lot of writing with very little waste! And it writes so well! The rollerball glides easily across even cheap paper with almost no pressure. There’s no bite here, just smoothness. For a fine tip pen, this writes more like a medium tip, which is about what I expected. The pen itself is on the small side, even with the cap posted, it’s about 5.25 inches. I’m a woman with medium-small hands, so this isn’t a problem for me, but it’s something to be aware of if you prefer a larger pen. It’s a metal pen, with a balanced and pleasing weight that feels good in the hand. I experienced a problem with the first pen I ordered (when I tried to remove the cap, the barrel came off instead). I contacted the seller who very promptly and courteously resolved the issue - a 5-star seller and a 5-star pen!Update 5/26/2019 I like this pen so much that I now have it in black, green, pink, and (coming soon) blue. Not only does the pen write like a champ, being able to pick from hundreds of fountain pen inks is such a pleasure.

Good - Once You Break It In.
I bought the black handled metal rollerball pen.It works good, after I wrote with it for a while.(Good to know, because it seemed to start off scratchy.I'm guessing that has to do with the little metal ballin the tip of the pen)One trait I found with it that helps it to write wellis to not apply a lot of pressure. It would bleed through the paper morewhen I would press down, but when I let up on the pressureand let the pen glide lightly across the paper, then much less chance of bleed throughon lined note paper. This also made it easier to write with, less strain on my hand and wrist.--------EDIT : ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATERAfter near daily letter writingthe pen has died.Though it was cleaned occasionally, perhaps it might've lasted longerif it were cleaned between every refill?

No ink cartridge or converter included even if it needs a special custom one
Quite unhappy with this pen. No converter or ink cartridge included, nonstandard shape pen, and I can’t find a converter that fits. Attempted to return but shipment costs are on me and are equal to the value of this pen. Very dissatisfied, stuck with a pen I can’t use.

Convenient, but the fine nib version skips a lot
It is convenient to have a liquid-ink pen that doesn't have the standard fountain pen nib, but I think I made a mistake buying the fine nib. It scratches and skips and is generally unreliable. The pen itself is nicely weighted and pleasant to hold.

Great Value
This pen is a tad small. Other than that, it's great! I purchased it because I wanted the ability to refill with fountain ink and this gives does that. It writes well. It came with a cartridge already in it. I write quite a bit. I carried this pen around with me and the original cartridge lasted about 2 months.

Herbin Rollerball pens
I purchased my first Herbin rollerball pen in a bookstore in Paris and I loved it. I use it for writing and drawing. The ink flow is excellent. I wanted to get additional pens to use with different color inks. The green pen is very pretty and excellent as well.

Brilliant pen with unique design
This is a quality pen, which unusually combines a rollerball tip with standard liquid ink cartridges. I always assumed there must be some technical reason why a pen could not be made like this, since I had never seen one before--but I'm pleased to report it gives a steady, reliable ink flow, and writes very nicely (even after a period of non-use). The overall finish belies the modest price, too. Would make a great gift for any age.

Ottima penna roller.
Ottimo peso perfettamente bilanciato. Punta leggermente rigida, ma potrebbe diventare più scorrevole con l'utilizzo. Perfetta tenuta dell'inchiostro.

No more free ink.
Looks like Herbin no longer includes a free ink cartridge with the pen anymore. Mine was missing the expected free ink. I had gotten the demonstrator version before with a cartridge included.

Buen producto.
Ideal para llevar en el bolsillo por su tamaño. La escritura es buena sin manchones ni goterones.
