It does the job well!
First, I have an Apple router that works quite well except that the internal cooling fan gave up the ghost causing the router to over heat. Instead of tearing into the bloody router to replace the fan, I decided to get this external fan and set the router on top. The fan has 3 speeds and is pretty quiet. Runs off of the router USB power connector. Has good airflow and does the job very well. Inexpensive, too. Perfect for my application. Recommend this item.

These Work So Well
My office is the hottest room in our house & it’s where all of my electronic equipment from our router & modem to my office equipment. They aren’t noisey, the look is fine, lifespan is good & the value can’t be beat. They keep my router & modem at acceptable temps.

Fairly Quiet
This item was delivered to me 2 days before the target date.I have used the remote to change speeds from low to medium to high.I didn't really see any difference in the temperature of my set top box, by changing the speeds of the fan.The device makes a low humming noise which cannot be heard with the box and tv on. So, it's very quiet and obviously only operates with the tv and set top box on. So no real issues there. It has reduced the set top box temperature by 9 degrees.

GREAT ROUTER COOLER
I was measuring 107 F aiming my thermometer down inside my nighthawk WiFi router (outside was cooler though) but I didn't care for this much heat on the circuit board/components. So this fan was acquired along with a few short pieces of weatherstripping from the hardware store. With the fan on the lowest setting, the internal temp was now measuring 84 F which was completely acceptable. At this setting the fan noise (in a quiet room) could not be heard 2' away. (I also used a few pieces of noise dampening padding under the feet of the fan assembly.) GOOD FAN, easy setup & great results all the way around.

Helps keep my computer cool.
This was something that has really helped keep my computer cool, that is in my office. I mounted this externally on the computer case, into holes that where just in the right place. It blows into the case and is easy to use and set. Controls are simple and easy to use. For me the noise level is not a problem. A good little fan set up at a good price.

Perfect solution for cooling my network gear
UPDATE: 03-Nov-2024I'm lowering my review to 3 stars due to questionable long term reliability. One of the two fans has failed in under 18 months of use. While I don't expect the fans to last forever, I do expect them to last at least 5 years of continuous use. Time to look for replacement.I have a small network rack that houses my network equipment including my pfSense router running on Protectli hardware. The Proctecly hardware is passively cooled and for the most part, my pfSense router has been running fine albeit on the warmer side. I added these fans to continuously move air over the equipment and it has easily reduced the CPU temp of the pfSense router 10 - 20 degrees F. These fans are not the quietest but for the location they are in, noise is not a major concern. They are easily powered via an available USB port. Problem solved!

Great quality
This is going to be used to cool a small grow light. It works great! Even helps add quite a bit of air circulation inside the grow box I'm using. Powerful, yet quiet. Will buy more, if I need it.

Great product
They are perfect for sitting under modems or routers to keep them cool. It has 3 settings and they barely make any noise. They are smaller than they look but will get the job done if it's for flat type devices. They don't come with a plug piece though or maybe they forgot it I'm not sure. I have some so didn't need them.
