I am wearing them as i write this......
I am literally wearing these as i type this up. these are a solid pair of computer glasses. I work in IT for a one of the largest consulting companies in the world and a different for fortune 100 company so my hours are long and the are always infront of a screen. before this i would leave the office with migraines at least weekly but some sort of eye strain or headache daily. these really make a difference. they cut the glare and reduce harsh blue lights so you have no more strain and no more pain. i can stare at a screen for hours (10+ hours is my daily average) and it feels like was just reading a book for a couple of minutes. it is night and day. even my friend who had no complaints in the eye strain category noticed a significant improvement in his visual comfort. these are also the perfect size. they look great on my large oval/round head and my head is huge (on my head shaved bald, the one size fits all snap back hat has to be connected at only TWO points. so i have a big cranium but im a big dude so its fine) if it were even a centimeter smaller it would be too small but its perfect for me and my ex girlfriend who is 5'2 and 90 pounds (i.e. shes basically a chihuahua) looks super sexy in them too. these are about the perfect size for 99% of people. But more importantly, they dont have nearly as much yellowish hue so I wear them to work and in conduct meetings and presentations and dont look like a scrub at all. I wear them to work of course but i also where them when i game on my computer of my console expecialy at night when the contrast from the displays and darkness are at their greatest. Since they block a lot of the intense blue light from screens, I started wearing these if watch tv game or use my computer or phone before bed because i read that blue light messes up you sleep. I actually got a slight improvement in my falling asleep time (slight but noticeable) this is a solid pair of specs. when mine wear out ill get another two just in case.

Just amazing.
TL:DR at end. I'm on the computer the majority of the day and was noticing that my eyes were getting mega fatigued. I'd catch myself squinting a lot and my eyes would just get so heavy, sometimes it'd even be painful. Not to mention the mild headaches I was getting. One of the solutions I found through researching was gaming / computer eye wear. I read about Gunnars but those were too expensive to try out on a whim. Then I discovered NoScopes which were more wallet friendly but I wanted to see what else was out there, and that's when I came to Amazon and found Gamma Ray. I'm skeptical of a lot of products and their claims to begin with, but I figured I could try these out and if they helped at all then I could upgrade to NoScope or Gunnar figuring they'd be better quality in the long-run and also provide a better solution. Well I decided to pull the trigger on these. Going into it, I had no expectations as I was doubtful a pair of glasses could remedy any or all of my symptoms. I received the glasses and put them on immediately. I remember reading a few of the reviews here where fitment was an issue, but I have a smallish head and the fit is excellent. Before I knew it, it had been a few hours with me wearing the glasses and my eyes felt great. No fatigue whatsoever, no headaches, no pain, and no squinting. I kept wearing them for the rest of the day and sure enough my eyes still felt wonderful. I decided to give it a couple more days in the off chance that the first day results were a fluke, but so far I haven't experienced any negative symptoms that I was experiencing before, which is completely badass. I had said that if these worked good then I'd upgrade to Gunnar or NoScope but there's absolutely no need to do that. These glasses provided the exact solutions that I was hoping they would. The build quality is great as well. I will only be wearing these when I'm at my computer desk so I'm not worried about them getting damaged somehow. I'm extremely happy with these glasses and can't even picture myself looking at monitors without them. TL:DR Great build, great fit, solved all issues.

cheap but it works.
I was looking for a glasses that I can use with my new monitors, my previous monitors didn't give me any problems but these new monitors, the white color is just bright that it gives me headache and eye strain whenever I have a white screen for a long period of time. I bought this glasses to try it out, since its cheap it wouldn't really matter to me if it doesn't work as good as I hoped for. So far so good. been using it for a couple of hours now and I don't have the eye strain that I am getting when I didn't have these on, it greatly reduces monitor glare that's for sure, altho as expected it does make your vision look "warm" if you know what I mean, some monitors have the "warm" preset settings thats basically what it feels like wearing this but a little lighter. I tried removing the glasses while staring at my monitor right now as I write this review and the difference is really there, my eye hurts instantly coz of the white balance of my monitor and I have tried setting it up thru the monitor but its really that bright. Only note that I can give this is you get what you paid for, sure it works great, looks good (doesn't really good on me tho LOL) but the build is flimsy, so you need to take care of it, the lenses feels like they will come off if you it get bent in a certain way, but at the same time if the lenses do come off I think its easy enough to put it back in. for 12bucks (that's what I paid with shipping) its good. I will be using this when I am just browsing the web, gaming wise my monitors doesn't really affect my eyes much, just when viewing web pages since most website got white background and that hurts my eyes.

Skip the competition; unbelievable value
I rarely write reviews but I felt the need to write one for this amazing product. I am a computer programmer and spend long days looking at computer screens under fluorescent lights. After years of this lifestyle, one day I suddenly started developing massive headaches every day and immense eye pressure and blurriness. I went to the doctor and was prescribed some pain killers but the core issue was not addressed at all. I had heard of Gunnars, but did not like the massive price tag nor the 1.2x magnification included on EVERY pair. I decided to spend 12 bucks on these glasses to try them out. They did not provide gradual eye relief over a few weeks. No, they provided immediate and total relief on day one. No more headaches, my vision is clear and my eyes feel great. I never expected to spend so little and receive such a massive quality of life improvement. The glasses feel a little cheap in build quality, but after 5 months they are showing no signs of wear and the hinges are as firm as the day I bought them (even though I throw them in a bag every day with no case). Thank you GAMMA RAY for the amazing quality and affordability of this product.

Saved my eyes
I spend a lot of time on the computer, for fun and for some work from home on the side kind of stuff. It's really tiring on my eyes. I never even really knew this kind of product existed until my friend told me about it, and at first I thought it seemed kind of silly, but I soon decided I needed something, so I broke down and bought these computer glasses. I can't believe the difference they have made! In the past, I always tried to take eye breaks and use eye drops and do whatever I needed to when on the computer, but now, when I use these glasses, I don't even have to do those things. I still take eye breaks because it's important, but I don't feel eye strain at all like I used to. The glasses are tinted, of course, so if you use these or an app like flux, you can't really do any sort of color work at the same time. When you use these regularly, though, the amount of time you might have to use the computer without them for color work shouldn't hurt your eyes nearly as much as it might have in the past. They also really help with keeping me more alert. I think when my eyes just get so tired out from the computer, it just makes my brain and body also feel tired, so I needed a nap almost everyday, and now I don't. I couldn't be more pleased with these. They do smudge easily, and the bag they come in works as a cleaning towel, but it did get "used up" or something pretty fast. I had to buy some microfiber towels to keep them smudge free, but it's not a big deal at all.

DON'T BLOCK MUCH VISIBLE BLUE LIGHT
First, my goal was to *block blue light.* The product description claims that these block blue light, and I am reviewing these as blue-blocking glasses. I have not had an eye-strain or headache problem from computer work, so that wasn't my purpose in purchasing these. On the other hand, I have had sleep disturbance, and the link between sleep problems and blue-light from computers etc. is pretty well established. Before these, I purchased the Uvex S1933S orange safety glasses. The Uvex glasses blocked essentially 100% of visible blue light. I downloaded a picture of the visible light spectrum, and the Uvex eliminated the blues. I can't see blue power lights or LEDs while wearing the Uvex. The downside is that sometimes, for instance, when looking at pictures on Facebook, I want a more true color experience. That is why I purchased these, the Gamma Ray Essentials GR E-801 computer glasses. The positive is that the shading is so light that they do provide a much better experience when viewing pictures, or playing the occasional computer game. The feel is *almost* natural. That is also the problem. On my light-spectrum picture, there is only a tiny difference between the blues while wearing the lenses, and while not. Blue power lights, LED's etc are still bright and clear. I have no exact way to measure, but subjectively, I'd say that these block about 10% or less of visible blue light. Now, they may do more on the *invisible* part of the light spectrum, but I have no way to know that, and couldn't really find any info about that. I figure, however, they are better than nothing at all. So I generally wear these in the mornings (when blue-light exposure is not usually problematic for sleep) and occasionally later in the day for working with pictures or videos. Generally, however, in the afternoon and evening I switch to my Uvex glasses. My sleep has improved, I think mostly due to Uvex lenses.

Great product 100%
I work in a call center environment and noticed the harsh lighting but never really considered doing anything about it, now that Iโve started wearing these I canโt go without. Theyโre lightweight and work exactly as advertised. I forget they are there bc they are so comfortable. Iโm the type of person that can hardly keep sunglasses on bc of how much it dulls my vision, these keep things bright and crisp and eliminates the harshness of the painful fluorescent lights used at my work. I took forever to decide on what frames to get from Gamma Ray and Iโm very happy with my choice. They came with a slim but protective case (it zips shut so theyโre not sliding out), an information slip, and a cleaning cloth. The yellow tint is way more subtle than the pictures depict but I like that. There was a slight odor, I honestly think it was the cleaning cloth, the edges seemed to be seared to prevent freying, it went away in no time. 100% recommend this product. Oh, and I get TONS of compliments so Iโm spreading the word about this product to my peers.

DO NOT BUY!
Total garbage. Placebo effect is the best case scenario. For starters the coating on it reflects on both sides. So even if it deflects the blue light coming in from the front, it doesn't matter because it's going to collect it from the sides and rear and reflect it straight into your eyes. So if you're not in a pitch black room when using a computer, the glasses are useless. Personally I haven't had a better experience when using it in a pitch black room either, it had zero affect on dry eyes. I'm guessing this is why they produce these computer glasses in such a wide variety of frames, because they don't work either way. The objective of these glasses should be the same as sunglasses (blocking out light), and there's a reason behind sunglasses being shaped in a way that they cover your eyes as much as possible. Well the same reason is present here too, but as we can see, these are shaped as normal reading glasses which cannot work in this scenario. In conclusion: If you want to try out computer glasses, get one the is meant to cover your eyes like sun glasses. Build quality seems alright until you start looking at the reflection of the lenses. The color of the reflection should be blue in theory, right? Well in my case this was only half true, because one was blue and the other was purple. It's possible that only I got a defective one, but even if that's true, the first two points make these glasses pointless. Definitely a trashy product/border line scam.

The only regret I have is not buying them sooner.
These things are absolutely wonderful! Between work and leisure, I spend about 9 hours per day in front of a PC monitor. I started getting really bad headaches, my eyes always felt dry and tired, and it all really affected my productivity at work. I've read about these types of glasses before, but the only ones I had ever heard of were Gunnar Optics, and I couldn't justify spending 70-80$ on them. Then I came across these! The quality is solid, and they've done wonders for my headaches. Strongly recommend for anyone that spends a lot of time in front of screen.

Optically correct, pleasant mild yellow
These glasses seem to be optically correct (i.e. they don't induce queasiness) and have a good (mild) degree of yellow tint. My only dislike would be their thick rims, but these go hand in hand with the style, so I can hardly complain. Good value.
