I bought this balm off the back of a recommendation and I'm glad I did. Not only is it a very nice, clean balm but the scent is lovely. I went with the cedarwood and lime. The natural oils and butters are very kind to the skin which is great for someone with over sensitive skin, like myself. My beard is left feeling soft, looking shiny and healthy. In terms of hold, it's as good as you can expect for a balm. A proper wax will be better but you tend to lose some other benefits with waxes. This balm manages to hold the strays in place for the majority of my working day. All in all, I'm very pleased with this product and will definitely buy again. In fact, I've no real choice. I'm already under orders from a female companion to buy the bakewell scent next. All in

I've used Bearded Gent beard oils in the past and always been really happy. Thought I'd try the balm and it was excellent. It smells great and after the first few uses really easy to apply (a little goes a long way), left beard feeling smoother and less straggly heairs making a break for freedom. I would recommend this particularly for longer beards, I found the oil easier to use on my beard from shorter (up to about 2 months growth) but since it's got a bit longer I find the balm easier to use.

This has kept my beard in great condition, and I have no problem recommending it, although it may not be to everyone's taste. I had the vanilla and tobacco version, and the smell is pleasant and not overpowering. However, the vanilla is somewhat lost, and I would have preferred it be a little stronger. The tobacco smell comes through well and reminds me of a nice pipe tobacco. The feel is a little greasy for me, but it coats my beard well and combs through nicely. It doesn't do much in the way of hold, but holds my beard in good condition. Overall, it's not without it's faults, but for the price it is a very good choice, especially for someone starting out with beard products.

I'm a bit of a fan of cedarwood, both as a product and as a fragrance so I'm liking this balm. The lime edge is really interesting though. It gives it a bit of 'zing'. The balm is soft and full of moisture, it's really soothing and keeps the old beard in place nicely. Another lovely product from the bearded gent.

Have been using Bearded gent products for a few years now and have always given good reviews. I decided to move from the beard oils to the beard balm on advice from my barber and sure enough the balm is great. Makes my beard look and feel great. However I have to knock a couple of stars off because the smell is very unpleasant. I’ve been using cherry bakewell oil from these guys for a while so I knew what to expect and this just isn’t it. There’s no hint of cherry at all and just smells very chemically. Not sure if it’s a bad batch or what but it’s awful.

I've order a few of these now. Tobacco & vanilla, rhubarb & custard and tobacco leaf & musk. They all smell really great and you can smell the scent on your beard for hours. The wax melts to oil within the palm of your hands ready to be applied. It's not a stiff or hard wax, so they are probably better beard ols suited for styling. But I'd thoroughly recommend The Bearded Gent beard oils. Tobacco leaf and musk smells so manly!

Looks like the labels been printed on a home printer. Ingredients i've never heard of, no Beeswax, shea butter or cocoa butter like in most beard balms. I'm guessing because they are expensive, instead you get a list of things i've never seen in any other balm. Dooesn't coat the beard well, after a few hours its like i'd never even applied it. Only reason i ordered it is because i'd run out of my usual balm and needed something ASAP to tame my beard for a night out. Awful value for money. Avoid!

I have purchased a lot of different balms over the years and I really do like this product. It is soft smooth and easily applied I use it on my beard and moustache but will admit to using a combination of the balm and a wax on my moustache which is quite long.
