This is not a kit. This is not a completed product. This is a cross-stitch pattern. This purchase is for a paper chart and contains no floss or fabric. This chart was inspired by a painting by Mary Cassatt of Lydia (her sister) seated in the garden with a dog in her lap. Mary Stevenson Cassatt 1844 -1926, was an American painter and printmaker. She lived much of her adult life in France, where she first befriended Edgar Degas and later exhibited among the Impressionists. Cassatt often created images of the social and private lives of women, with particular emphasis on the intimate bonds between mothers and children.
