What Katie Ate on the Weekend: A Cookbook

Format, Pictures and Recipes interesting
I like the format of this book, makes it interesting. The pictures and writing great. I have had success with the salads, Faro with Feta, Lemon & Pine Nuts & prosciutto, fig and grilled peach, very good flavours and textures. Lamb Shank pie good, but the roast pork with cider and maple syrup sauce very disappointing because although the pork and stuffing very good the sauce liquid all burnt quickly in the oven, smoked out the kitchen and ruined my roasting pan plus there was no sauce!! I am sure that should have been tested and a different plan written up. If I made this recipe again I would sit the pork in the liquid I think and maybe even cover the pork? There are many more recipes I still feel encouraged to try.

Love it....
I do not usually take the time to write reviews...but oh my goodness!!!! This is the most amazing book, beautiful from cover to cover...I bought it to give as a gift to my adult daughter, Katie... But for Pete's sake....yes, she still gets her gift, but I just ordered 4 more. One for me, and 3 for gifts! It has everything, great food, amazing party pictures, everything...even a 51 year old (me) could absolutley love. My gifts are all for the under 35 crowd.

Great Follow-Up book to What Katie Ate.
Great follow up book to What Katie Ate. Great no-fail recipes in both books. Beautifully styled and shot. I turn to her books time and time again for delicious and beautiful recipes, plus it's so wonderfully art directed I just like to peruse through it and get inspired.

When she released her 1st cookbook I thought it's the most beautiful cookbook ever
I have read Katie's blog for a while now. When she released her 1st cookbook I thought it's the most beautiful cookbook ever! How wrong I was! this one is so much better! Adore her photography/styling and the recipes are fantastic! So easy to follow and everything I made was a hit!

Very Disappointing
This book came highly recommended to me, described as "beautiful, richly layered and gorgeous." A case in point that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there was almost nothing about this book that I did like. The images are dark, it is not richly layered and it is, in my opinion, outdated and generally speaking, flat out dull. It does not add to the foodie scene or the industry in any meaningful way, sadly. I regret having bought this book and will give my copy away.
