Consecration to Jesus through St. Joseph: An Integrated Look At the Holy Family

This consecration is a beautiful and thought provoking series of prayers and meditations leading you through areas that you may not realize need to go to God. The space left for reflection can be a little small on some days so I'd recommend pairing this book with a notebook so you can have as much space as you need. Perfect for fostering a special devotion to St Joseph but also the Holy Family.

I absolutely love this consecration journey. The book leads you through 44 short but rich days of self reflection and the real story of who St. Joseph really was. It is not repetitive like I was afraid it might be due to the little information we have about the life of St. Joseph. Each day has a section for journaling and reflection questions to ponder which I loved! Every week is a different theme with prayers at the end of each. The cover is almost matte and the book itself is very durable I found. I highly recommend this consecration and will be doing it again next year!

My daughter bought this book for my husband and me as a Christmas gift because she found it so valuable. We both agree with her and highly recommend it to others. Very insightful and practical questions in each chapter. It has truly helped us grow closer to the Holy Family which has helped us individually and as a family.

They made an excellent choice to organize the consecration in the same formula as DeMontfort's consecration to Jesus through Mary. Many of the meditations are insightful but several take liberty with some legends about St. Joseph. It is unfortunate that those meditations were not reworded so that this book would be eligible for an Imprimatur. Overall I am glad I worked through it. It made me think of things in a different way and that is always a good excersize.

I recommend anything Dr. Bottaro writes, and this book is certainly no exception. As a woman in her 20’s who grew up with an emotionally distant father, this book was (and continues to be) life changing. I recommend it to all of my friends.

GET THIS BOOK if you want to deepen your understanding of how the members of the Holy Family work together to lead us closer to Jesus. It illuminates Saint Joseph's role as FATHER, PROTECTOR, PROVIDER, and SPOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY.Prior to going through this consecration I knew I was missing out because I didn't know where Saint Joseph "fit" into my devotional life as an example and as an intercessor. Reading this book has given me new insights into how the members of the Holy Family work together to lead us closer to Jesus.

This is a wonderful retreat book, and daily consecration and growth with St. Joseph. You are beautifully led through scripture, rich texts in the Catholic Tradition, with wonderful and poignant reflections. This is a must read for any one wishing to grow in a more intimate and mature relationship with Christ.
