Initially, I balked at the price of this cover - I have another one from the pet store that was half the price. But you get what you pay for. The Molly Mutt cover is much better quality and made with a more substantial fabric. It doesn't completely block out light, but it blocks out most of it, and transforms the crate into a cozy den.

So I had to revise my original review from 5 stars to 1. All my original comments held true except that it shrunk the first time I washed it. And, yes, I followed directions to a tee. I didn't put in dryer but hung it to dry. So the item I bought to keep out the light, no longer does that so it doesn't matter how nice it looks when it doesn't do what I need it to do. We had to move the crate to another location where its in the corner wedged next to furniture to prove shade because the cover no longer does that. The extra hour I would get in the morning is now gone. I can't recommend a crate cover that you can't ever wash. Sadly I recently bought the duvet cover as well but not until after I washed the cover otherwise I would never have bought additional items. I am dreading having to wash that and have it become more $$ down the drain.Original Comments:Not only does it look better than the old bed sheet I had been using, the dog now sleeps an hour later in the morning. I think that because its a thicker material, early dawn sunlight takes a bit longer to get in. Also I prefer the thicker canvas material that is breathable than the other crate covers that are out there.My dog never had any issues with going in his crate before, but it seems like he prefers even more now and will store his bones there when he isn't chewing on them. That is the ultimate plus because he would stash them between couch cushions previously :)

We have a puppy who got into the unfortunate habit of getting up every night in the middle of the night because he wanted to get out of his crate and hang out with me. I love him but I’m fine not playing with him at 3am. I figured part of the problem was that he was waking up and seeing me and the other dogs in bed nearby. I decided to see if making his crate darker and limiting his view of outside would help. So far so good! He still gets up sometimes but not every night. I see an improvement every day. The added bonus is that the crate cover looks good in my bedroom.

Really like the starry night design for this crate cover, it was perfect for my pup's name "Luna" :-D . It's thick, dark, and does the job of keeping my pup's crate warm and dark in the winter months. I'd recommend it, and would buy again.

I purchased this cover as a travel cover for my puppy's crate. Considering my puppy's at home crate cover cost a little over $100, this Molly Mutt cover seemed like a really good deal!When I opened the package, I was initially very impressed with the overall quality of this crate cover. The fabric is heavy and durable, and I like that this cover can work with a 1-door and/or a 2-door crate. Unfortunately, my excitement stopped there.Before I purchased this crate cover, I read the Amazon reviews/suggestions to order one size up. Since the cover is 100% cotton, however, I figured that some people may have accidentally shrunk their cover in the wash. So, I decided to order the appropriate size for my puppy's crate...which, wasn't a good idea.When I tried to place the crate cover over my puppy's standard 23"x25"x36" crate, the 36" side measured about 34.5". As result, the cover wasn't long enough to fit 100%.Some Amazon reviews suggest ordering one size up. Since only one side is too short, however, if you order a size up, then 2 of the 3 sides would be too big for a standard crate....which, could look a little sloppy.I needed this cover for the weekend, and I decided to, 'make it work', but I took off 3 stars because measurements for this cover simply aren't accurate. Molly Mutt either needs to update their Amazon description or start producing a crate cover that actually fits.

This is a pretty royal blue, It is made of a nice heavy duty material. It is a little long for the kennel and the sides don't close all the way down but it works well, fits my decor and is a pretty fabric.

Well made, easy to use snaps. Fits the Midwest crate well - Small fits the 24 inch crate. Like that it's preshrunk - washed well. The only thing I would add is a wall to close the gaps where the flaps are, since my puppy is always watching.

So disappointed with this cover unfortunately. I was so optimistic when it arrived but is at least 1 inch too small in the width so sits funny and the sides dont create a dark "den" as they aren't connected. I have sown these shut but for the price would be a nice option if they were zipped. The material is very thin and isnt the quality I hoped for for the price. The trim round the edge is teal even though its white in the picture so looks a little daft in our front room. Although it does have an opening on the longer side which is a bonus as our dog uses his crate sideways. I wouldnt recommend this dog cover and made the mistake of ignoring reviews like this when I bought it.

The cover was a little on the expensive side but we’ll worth the money as it’s well made. The material used is strong and of good quality.

This is my second Molly Mutt crate cover, and it is exactly what I pictured. I purchased my first one a few years ago for my oldest dog, and she loves it. I decided to buy this one for my light sensitive youngest pooch, and he adores it as well. Before I purchased this one, I had trouble getting him to stay in his crate in the nighttime, but now, he stays in it all night long. It's very pretty to look at. Quality is excellent. It tolerates multiple washings well.

Even when closed shut, light comes in as the flaps do not overlap the body at all. This an issue for my critter as she won't sleep when there is light coming in. It's a shame as the cover looks ok, fits a kazoo crate really well and the fabric is nice and thick

My crate cover arrived today. It’s a perfect fit. Looks to be very well made. The problem is... it doesn’t look like the promoted image. It is a dark brown, canvas cover. The piping, however, is not blue, but a lighter brown. I’m disappointed in this and am considering contacting the company about it.
