I have performed all of my bicycle maintenance myself for decades. It's not overly complicated and quite satisfying, however brake and shifter cables are an often overlooked element of bicycle maintenance. They perform an important function for many years and often perform well with years of neglect, but this is not how they should be treated. The degradation in performance it's so slow that it's easy to overlook as the cause of poor shifting and poor braking. I recently purchased these cables in an effort to improve the shifting on several of my bikes. These cables arrived quickly and I could notice immediately that they seemed to be of a very high quality and we're offered at an extremely reasonable price. With proper tools, installation is very straightforward. New cable housings and cable ends are also an important part of this procedure to ensure that the job is properly done, and these I also purchased on Amazon. Several cable ends and housing ends, as well as small silicone "donuts" to eliminate cable rattle against the bike frame are included with the cables. The cables arrive in two different lengths, to accommodate the front and rear derailleurs. A light coat of grease can help ensure smooth operation and help prevent rust for many years. I have purchased this product multiple times and will continue to do so in the future. All this and very reasonable price.

Nice cables that works well for the bike. I have installed them to replace a frayed cable (near the end), and it is working well so far. Plenty of length to work with.

These are very affordable durable shift cables but they are not stainless. The value pays off if your bike has full length housings or bike is stored inside. Otherwise, pay a little more for stainless cables.

Got these to replace a Jagwire rear derailleur cable that was kinked when it was shipped to me. Quality is decent for the price. They are thinner than the one supplied by Jagwire but it works. Shifting is smooth and consistent. Time will only tell before I can how long these long they will last. Will they quickly stretch or break? Even so still a good price, you get 10:cables and a lot of extras for a price that’s is even lower than one Jagwire cable

Restored my vintage road bike. Works well for the shift cables. Will not work for brake cables as the ball is not big enuff... but it is a SHIFT CABLE, so its ok. Came with the little rubber washers and the clamping end caps. Plenty left to do my 2 mountain bikes, and i "believe" long enuff for my tandem bike (will fit the front, but the distance to the back, might not reach on a tandem as it is 2 times as long as normal bike). Will update on the tandem bike when i have the ambition to do.

very cheap but very reliable

The cables are good and the fittings are useful when you are doing replacements. It is good to have a few extra cables around for emergencies.
