Contractor Couplers 3 Pack couplers are intended for use with the Contractor, Lifetime, Flex Edge, Viper and Zip Edge edging. Used to join two pieces of edging together. Master Mark Plastics has become a premier name in lawn, garden, and building supplies throughout the world due to the fact that we are one of the largest and most experienced recyclers of HDPE plastics. High Density Polyethylene plastics, which include hefty weight materials like milk jugs and detergent containers that do not easily disintegrate. Therefore, this garbage would last many years in a landfill. Our recycling operation takes this plastic, grinds it up, sterilizes it, and treats it for further use in our lawn and garden products and composite decking materials.

VIGORO HEAVY DUTY EDGING COUPLER
This product (PRO) works as a coupler for the Vigoro Heavy Duty 5" edging that Home Depot sells. The other Master Mark "Original" and "Plus" are TOO SMALL. THIS is the one you want! Then just use the cut/overlap method like in the videos.

Edging Could Be More Flexible
The edging came in a condensed coil which would not have been so bad if they hadn't reinforced it in 3 places with a plastic spike that went all the way through. My husband and I had to first cut off the head of the spike before we could unwind it. The hole from the spike went all the way through; and there was an area we couldn't use because of this. Luckily for us we read the reviews that said to stretch the edging out in the sun for a few days in order to straighten it or we would have had more trouble. Also, it was very hard to cut if we wanted to use a coupler. We also had to dig down about 4-5 inches before we could place the edging in. Maybe if there was more rubber rather than plastic it would have been easier to bend.

Landscaping edging connector
These connectors worked well for me. I used them with Master Mark lifetime edging. You use it to connect two sections of edging together. It fits tightly inside of each edging and fits tightly enough that it stays in place. Some people put a screw into it thru each of the two pieces of edging, but I found that they work well and don't slide out even without screwing them. It's best to use these on a straight section of edging, not curved bc you will see a small bump or straight part if you put this on a bend bc this connector is more rigid than the edging. So lay out your edging before hand so two sections meet on a straight section

Fit perfectly
These landscape border connectors fit perfectly into my border. Good quality for the price.

Couplers Required
The Edging comes with one; occasionally, two couplers. So, if you want to make practically anything other than a straight border additional couplers are necessary. Lay out the edging for one to two sunny days if possible. This will make it much easier to mold and conform .

Solid border
I used this in the front of the house and ran it around 6 shrubbs in a rounded curve fashion, since in nature there are no straight lines. I installed this w/ the spikes as directed, even Googled extra directions to make sure I did it right. So many times one sees this stuff improperly installed and it looks like crap....no so if properly installed....makes all the difference. Real nice looking and effective border, clean curved lines....

An expensive yet useful tool
These little couplers are a necessity when installing landscaping/edging, unfortunately, they're also expensive. I mean c'mon $2 for each little piece of plastic? It's a bit ridiculous, but they are super helpful when edging.

Yard looks like a finsihed product
I like the edging I was using but it never looked "finish" because of the gap, however small, just looked odd. The couplers make the edging look seamless. Very happy I got them.
