Pyracantha Soleil d'Or (Firethorn) is a vigorous bushy thorny upright evergreen shrub with glossy toothed dark green leaves. Produces masses of white flowers in summer followed by golden yellow berries in autumn. A tough hardy plant tolerant most soil types and grows in a wide range of conditions including shaded and exposed locations. Excellent for hedging and a good burglar deterrent. Suggested planting distance if planting for a hedge approx. 3 plants per metre in a single row (30cm or 1 foot apart). Plants can be planted up to 60cm or 2 feet apart but it will take longer for the hedge to establish.

Excellent plants
I’ve bought many pyracantha in many sizes and from many sources for use as hedges.These is the best delivery of plants I have ever received. The plants were well packed, delivered with care and received soon after ordering.The plants themselves are excellent. They are well established, quite bushy and in decent sized pots.I chose this particular variety because I’ve problems in the past with pyracantha blight and scab and I’ve heard Saphyr is more resistant to this.Recommended.
