The product's connectors are not connected...the microphone and the cable itself....

Doesn't last
Maybe they are fake astatic. We've had some astatic mics last for over a decade. We've had 2 of this product right here go out on us in 6 months and 2 weeks.

Fake Astatic
I took this mic to a CB Shop to find out that this is not an Astatic Mic. The shop opened up a Astatic Mic that they had and showed me the difference. This mic did nothing but squealed on my Galaxy Radio Save your money and buy a True Astatic I bought one while I was at the shop for ONLY 39.99.
