Lasts long
Works great. Lasts a long time compared to other plastic ones.

Best choice for Heavy-Duty work using your existing hardware.
This product is as easy to install and use as conventional plastic string, but outperforms any other sting out there when put into serious duty tackling small trees and brush. It also digs out weeds by the roots eradicating them altogether. More expensive than conventional line, but outperforms plastic every time when you are using your machine as a brush thrasher. Will not hurt chain-link fences like a blade will. This is the best option in my opinion where you would like to use a blade, but are afraid of damaging structures in the vicinity. Don't get this cable for light duty, because its a waste of money. Use conventional plastic string for around buildings and edging. Heavy duty use only.

Pretty good, but with a couple of snags...
I bought this to replace the plastic trimmer string in my Sun Joe leaf mulcher. This device is really a large horizontal strong trimmer with a hopper on top--pile the leaves into the hopper, turn on, and the spinning trimmer lines whack the leaves into little bits.I found I was going through the plastic trimmer lines pretty quickly so I thought maybe a coated steel line would work better. Well it does. A bit. Both the plastic and steel lines ended up getting short as the lines get cut down. The reason is pretty simple: the end is where the trimmer lines are moving fastest and, I think, doing a lot of the heavy-duty work, especially with twigs. The plastic lines were lasting about 3-4 hopper loads, and the steel lines about 4-5. So maybe a 20% improvement. The biggest problem I have is that the line does not feed out of its plastic container properly. I have to cut the lines to length (about 12") and I just could not get the line to feed out easily. So I ended up cutting it in the middle. Not a big deal, but a little annoying.I was surprised that the steel line wasn't a lot better than the plastic.BTW, I tried *uncoated* steel wire. Did not work Without the coating, the high-speed rotation unwinds the cable rendering it both much less effective.

Best Trimmer Line
Best trimmer line I've ever had. It will cut through grass like a hot knife through butter. It doesn't break off like plastic line does. Just be careful. It will damage some surfaces.

tough
The string is pretty tough. There is a lot of fraying so it odes not last very long. You do not want to use this around a metal building, plastic (PVC), or wooken fences.

I got 9 metal splinters in my legs from this line
I bought this in October last year and just used it last week. It worked ok but after I was done, I noticed I was having some sharp pain in my legs. It turned out that this trim line gave me 9 little metal splinters between both legs that had to be removed with tweezers (image of the splinters included here). I’ve been using metal trim line for years and this has never happened ever. In my opinion this line is a safety hazard.
