Very good quality switch
Very nice kill switch. Seems to be fairly durable and looks awesome. Works great with passive or active pickups. Please take note that this is an OPEN switch. That means NO signal passes through between its contacts. The way it works is that it SHORTS a circuit when depressed. So make sure you install the switch with SIGNAL wire on one contact and GROUND on the other. It will then short your signal back to ground to interrupt or โKILLโ the signal. DO NOT INSTALL IT ON THE ACTUAL BATTERY WIRES. Other than that it installs easy providing you donโt mind drilling a 19mm hole in the body. If you donโt use your tone pot then this is a great location for your kill switch. Good luck.

Very Cool, if you have a place to put it.
The thing you have to remember with a kill switch is, you have to put a hole in something to install it. If you have something like a strat, you probably have room in the pickguard for it. If not, you are going to have to put a rather large hole in your guitar. I put it in an inexpensive guitar and it's great. You have to drill a pretty big hole, but after that, the installation is really easy. There are a couple of ways you can do it, do your home work, one wiring makes it silent, the other is like you are unplugging the chord every time you use it, so it pops rather loudly. The Alpinetech switch is responsive and firm, yet easy to push. It looks cool and I actually use it more than I thought I would. This is my first kill switch, so I can't really say how it measures up against other kill switches, I can say, it does what I want it to.

Works as should. Buttons a little stiffer than desired.
Easy install. Just spliced the 2 ground and hot wires coming off of the input jack of my guitar and ran it through. Happy with it but I was hoping the button was gonna be looser. Like an arcade button. It does take a somewhat firm press. Thats why 4 instead of 5 stars. Either way I am satisfied. Especially for the price. NOTE: I know the hex ring is meant to go inside the body, screwed to the back of the button to secure it inside. But when drilling the hole a little bit of the finish chipped away and I was able to cover it up by putting the button on top of the hex ring. I dont mind how it looks. Better than the ring flush on the body but with a little chipped finish on the edge. I kinda like how its raised sitting on the hex anyways. Sincd the hole is tight and with a tiny dab of super glue its secure. But yeah.....Thats why its like that. Being said. Be real careful drilling! lol! I wasnt.

Great Killswitch
Really awesome switch, it worked really well and I especially liked that there was no soldering needed unlike other killswitches. Looks great on my guitar and it is really responsive.

Stiff Action
This switch is the highest rated when such a search is enacted. It mounts in a 19mm hole which is considerably larger than most other switches. The switch is very good quality and is cosmetically attractive. The action on the switch is stiffer (harder to push) than what I expected for a guitar kill switch. Since I have already mounted it, I guess I will have to roll with it and hope it softens up with use. It would have been 5 starts except for the stiff feel.
