Great for Rainy Summer Container Gardening
Living in a condo with HOA restrictions, I have to grow everything in containers in my "mini food forest" courtyard garden. I have a thriving collection of citrus trees, blueberries and avocados, as well as herbs and seasonal vegetables. In my Southeastern coastal climate, the Summers can be very rainy and stormy. I have to be careful to make potting mixes that drain extremely well and yet are hefty and rich enough to absorb regular feedings and added compost during the year. My homemade potting mix works very well over a bottom layer of an inch or two of gravel over recycled broken ceramic pot shards that keep extra drilled drainage holes clear and open. I started using coco coir last year, (to reduce my use of peat moss), mixed with perlite, sifted compost and added nutrients in my potting mix concoction. This product is perfect for the base of my mix, as it is well blended and smooth. With larger containers, I do supplement with a little more perlite to balance out my compost. It makes a great seed starting medium, too. This product is a bit pricey, but the quality and convenience are well worth it!Afterall, with more and more container gardeners growing healthy foods at home and investing in quality fruit trees and bushes that will grow throughout our lifetime, we want start them off with the best, most nutritious potting mixes we can.

Great product!
Best CoCo available! Very coarse, but has plenty of fibers. Great retention and amazing drainage. Ph buffered and very stable. Definitely my "go to" from here out

Totally Satisfied
Good product. Coir and large chunk perlite. I added 10qt. of peat moss to the mix and it filled six 2.5 gal pots. My weed is thriving and lush. I am completely satisfied with this product. Hope I can find it on sale next grow.

Concevient, clean, works!
It was so convenient to have the coco and prelite pre mixed, this mix feels very clean, and has already been used successfully for growing some indoor plants.

I don't know what good coco is yet. New to this
Seems fine though! I couldn't get the brick since I think it was unavailable at the time so I got the perlite mix and my plants are sprouting and is retaining water as I expected. It came in a rather flimsy bag though with a couple of tiny holes in it in the box but nothing leaked out due to being slightly compressed. As far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with the mix though!
