Review: updated after wearing a few weeks - Ok it's been a few weeks and I need to update this. These are very warm. I thought they would loosen up as I wore them but they are still very snug which causes my feet to get very hot and sweaty. The pair I have that aren't slip resistant are nice and comfy but these feel like they might have been a fraction of a bit smaller because they are tight and not getting looser and very hot after working a few hours. I still love them, but thought I should update it. Thanks. I have a pair of these exact shoes in the normal sole that isn't slip resistant and they have been my favorite shoes I've ever had. They are light, comfortable, and have lasted me over a year and a half which is way longer than any other shoes I've had for work. But they were slippery on wet floors. The fabric inside around the heels and toes has started to rub off which was to be expected having them for so long so I tried to get another pair. I found them here for about $20 less than the stores had them. Then I happened to stumble upon these slip resistant ones that the stores didn't have and got so excited. So I've had these a few days now and they are just like the others except they have a lot better grip on the tiled floors at work. They are super light, and fit well. I'm a size 12 and these are a little snugger than the other ones were. I am thinking the interior padding might be thicker because they hug my feet very snug. Like across the top of foot they are tight but it is only day 3 and they will get looser. Thinner socks would help but I don't have any of those. I would definitely get these again. They are the first shoes from Skechers I've had that have lasted longer than 3 months (Well these are a new pair, but I'm talking about the other pair). No they don't look good with a suit, but they are so comfortable that I don't care. I'm thinking I might stock up on them because I know they change designs every year or so and I want to have these for a long time. My doctor has a blue pair and when he saw mine he was telling me how much he loves his and we had a whole conversation about the trouble of finding something comfortable and light weight that lasts a long time. So there you go, I guess they're doctor approved too :) Review: Comfortable and safe, great option for the office. - One of the worst things about working in an office environment is dealing with uncomfortable dress shoes that can even be dangerous due to the slip hazard. After getting sick of destroying my feet with expensive dress shoes I decided to try sketcher slip-ons and absolutely loved them. My previous pair looked a little too gray for the office and offered no slip protection, so switching to these “work” versions was the perfect solution. The black color is great for blending in with most office attire as long as your dress code isn’t too strict about it. Like many other reviews mention they do fit a bit too tight, especially brand new, but after a few days of wearing them I think they feel great. The soles of the shoes are a bit wide, which is even better if you happen to have wider than average feet like I do. The non-slop gripping is a tremendous plus. If some random slob at my office spills something near the coffee machine — which often happens — I don’t have to worry so much about slipping on it. I feel much safer when wearing these compared to other shoes. All things considered (especially at this price point) they are tough comfortable versatile work shoes.

Works great for a well priced, slip resistant work shoe
As a school cleaner that walks many miles a night, these work great. The slip resistance is good. The slip on and slip off design works wonderfully; it is soooooo comfortable and easy to put on and off these shoes. The size that I wear is difficult to find in many shoes, at a men's US 10.5 WIDE. The wide is important and people that suggest just getting the next size up don't understand what it means to have wide feet at the toe tips also; such that my pinky toe and my big toe will blow out the sides of a normal sized (even larger) shoe every time and that ruins the shoe. These 10.5 wide shoes are perfect for me. One knock I would say is that if you walk ALOT every day on concrete as a cleaner or something else, that you will want to purchase some glue for the shoe because the glue will wear out for the soles with many miles. Also, the insoles/inserts will need to be ripped out when you wear them out in about 10 months of walking, as they are glued in by the factory. The store bought inserts to replace them that you cut to fit work well and I dare say they might even be more comfortable!

These are the much less comfortable version of Skechers GoWalk shoes
I have been wearing the Skechers GoWalks, for the last couple of pairs I have worn. They were extremely comfortable (like walking on a cloud). I decided to try out the Skechers Work shoes, this time around. I thought it might be good to have the non-slip sole, since I work in a restaurant. My first impression, upon trying them on, was that they were not comfortable, at all. Kind of like walking on rocks. I should add some clarification though, that the upper part of the shoe is very comfortable, and has better support, than the GoWalks. But, the insoles/outsoles are definitely not. The outsoles do seem to be good for non-slip, unless you are walking on ice, which I quickly found out (we had just had our first big winter storm, shortly before these arrived). I was slipping and sliding all over the place, which also wasn't the case with my almost completely worn smooth GoWalks. I think it must have something to do with the GoWalks having a much softer outsole (creating more friction with the ground), and the Work shoes having a very stiff outsole. That being said, when walking around at work, the shoes do seem to serve their non-slip purpose. As for the water-resistance, I am not fully convinced. I had plenty of opportunity to test that out, when the snow turned to slush and puddles. I think the scotch-guard coating probably helps, a little. But, then again, you could always just spray scotch-guard (or camp-dry, or whatever water-proofing product you want) on any pair of shoes. After wearing them for maybe a little over a week now, I feel like the insole is a little more comfortable than they were, when I first got them. But, the work shoes are still not nearly as comfortable as the GoWalks. My feet always hurt, well before my shift is over, now. I think, next time, I will go back to their walking shoes, and just live without having the non-slip soles (I never really had any problem with slipping, anyway). I would love it, if they would put the soles from the GoWalks, with the uppers, from these shoes. That would be about perfect (except for not being non-slip).

Super Comfort, Cool in Summer & Warm in Winter. Excellent Non-Slip Sole. Excellent Durability.
I bought a pair of these exact McAllen's almost exactly 1 year ago at Sear's. They are extremely comfortable & nicely light weight. The non-slip sole is very useful and works well. Some slip-ons can feel loose and sloppy, these are not. These fit nicely snug and never once did I ever feel that Laces were needed the entire year I've used them. The Padding where your Heel slides in and out is starting to wear out after 1 year. Where the Top of the Shoe and the Sole are connected is starting to separate after 1 year of use. I Deliver Pizza 5 Days a week in Minnesota. I wore them all summer and all winter. They were never to hot or never too cold. I put a lot of mileage into these shoes over the 1 year of use, they were my Pizza Delivery/Kitchen shoes as well as my out n about everyday shoes. So with that kind of mileage to last 1 year is very good. I didn't see anything else on the Web that compares to these so I bought a new pair of these McAllens from here on Amazon a few days ago. I 100% Endorse these McAllens as a Non-Slip Work Shoe and as an Everyday Shoe. So if your looking for a Non-Slip Shoe this McAllen would be truly hard to beat.

The best nonslip work shoes out there!!
This is my second pair; the first lasted me nearly a year of day-to-day use, and are still wearable. The tread shows almost no wear (!!) and is still better at stopping slips than any other pair I've had, but the mesh material started to wear through at the widest point of my foot. Most shoes only last 3-6 months for me, so that's a good run of it. Super comfortable, awesome for people with wide feet like me; I can wear them for 10+ hours and my feet and ankles don't hurt at the end, which is a big deal for me since I've had issues with my Achilles that have caused me huge pain and necessitated physical therapy a few years ago. Throw a high quality work insole in there and they're like walking on clouds. The mesh is breathable and great for humid, high heat environments. I recommend them to all my friends who work in restaurants and the medical field. They're pricier than a lot of other pairs but it's 100% worth it.
