Welcome to a revolution in Chalk Paint... maximum coverage, rapid drying and an ultra matt chalky finish. What’s more, GraceMary Chalk & Clay Paint is water based, VOC FREE, and free from chemical additives. GraceMary Chalk & Clay Paint focuses on what you love about using chalk paint... quick coverage, only 1 to 2 coats needed, and a durable, long lasting finish. It’ll stick to almost anything, but is still soft enough to distress and achieve that shabby chic, antique look. What’s more, we’ve specifically deigned our paint to minimize brush stroke marks, stop glooping around corners and details, and to dry quickly so you can re-coat faster. As you’d expect, there is no need to prime or prep your surfaces either. GraceMary Chalk & Clay Paint is handmade in the UK using only the finest ingredients. It’s also safe for children's furniture!

PAINTING WITH THIS IS BETTER THAN THERAPY
Buckle up for this review i've got A LOT to say and my boss is working from home:I recently tried using the Rustoleum chalk paint on my kitchen table...it was awful. I had to add sooooo much water to the paint to make the brush stroke go farther than 3 inches. The table looks hilariously bad...like we dipped my dogs tail in white oil paint and got her to wag it on, or dipped her in a bucket of dissolved chalk and olive oil and scrubbed it on with her limp body. (I do not let me beloved pet near paint fyi)But THIS STUFF...this beautiful, beautiful stuff transformed this nasty, sad old pine cabinet I bought from a recent divorcee in South London (she's fine now, better off really, thanks for asking) and transformed it into.......this elegant drinks cabinet that looks like it just put down Khloe Kardashians "Revenge Body" book, and like a bat out of hell has hit the gym and green juice HARD.I know you're thinking, geeez is this worth the cost? My second-hand furniture was only £4 and now I'm splurging on this? Let me alleviate your concerns:A) I bought a litre and did two coats on the pictured cabinet and have enough left for at least two more cabinets. Gonna be rainin' DIY up in hurr.B) The title says it all. Painting with this stuff is so satisfying it's like watching 14 slime videos on instragram without blinkingC) It looks professional. No brush strokes. Dried super fast. Varnished it with Ronseal internal clear gloss varnish. (Top is Everbuild Satin Walnut stain - 2 coats and varnish!)D) I posted the transformation on my insta story and got 10...yes TEN Dm's from it. T-E-N. Think about that. It's a cabinet, and I'm 27. The people love the paint.E) it took only a couple hours...I have no patience and I want immediate results and this delivered.

Good chalk paint
I have used chalk paint before, not particularly successfully, wanted to upcycle some bedroom pine furniture, so thought I would try again. I have done lots of projects involving painting but chalk paint had alluded me. I order this brand following the reviews given. There are a few points I learned which may be helpful. I did sand the draws before, as I had been waxing them with a coloured wax/stain (you can see the colour on the draw knobs) and the paint did go on better (I appreciate however that you can paint directly). Previously used paint went think and gloopy quickly and I had to add water, this one stayed runny and went on beautifully. Do all your prep etc first so you can concentrate on just painting as it dries quickly. I used a normal paint brush (wood one) and it worked fine. As with the other reviews, I wanted a solid finish, so in the most part it took 2 coats, on the top and the front of the draws to get the finish I wanted I used 3. I understand the darker the piece you are painting and the original finish, you may experience bleeding ( they suggest that you do a test patch and if it is really bad to put a primer on first - this may save you money and give you a better finish especially if you are using a lighter colour ). I brought a 250ml tin and I painted a bedside set of 3 draws unit and have about quarter left in the tin. I used Portland Stone which went on white but once I waxed it it has gone darker and has a slight blue tinge to it. The draws were a bit battered with chips and dints to its surface, as I have had for nearly 20 years, so you can still see some on the finished unit, but 100% better than it was. Really very pleased and I have posted a photo which I have not done before. In terms of price I don’t think it’s too bad and fairly consistent with other brands available in local shops, if you consider the tin sizes, I would have been better buying a1ltr £23.50 tin in the first place (have now ordered to do the rest of the furniture in the bedroom) however for me the £10 cost of reviving this piece of furniture was well worth it. It look me a day to paint, wax and put back which is great. I would recommend.

Awesome paint but too small
This paint is good because if you are sensitive to fumes it has none 😁. The only thing is, it's expensive and so tiny 😣... But I got what I wanted to not disappointed as our air was still clean.

Great paint
Good paint, I used it to paint old plastic plant pots and to up cycle an old mirror frame, it’s got a beautiful chalky finish.

Easy to use
I have never painted furniture before, and purchased this paint because of the reviews. They are correct, the paint goes on lovely and a little goes along way. Have ordered another pot to paint more pieces of furniture
